I have a dir 615 wireless router and I am having trouble connecting it with my ADSL Modem and internet voice gateway. Also the dir615 interfers with the cordless phone

WHAT MAGIC JACK DO YOU HAVE IF YOU HAVE THE PLUS TAKE THE MODEM PLUG INTO THE MODEM AND TAKE THE OTHER END AND PLUG INTO THE ADAPTER THEN TAKE THE PHONE PLUG AND PLUG IT INTO THE PHONE ADAPTER AND THE OTHER PART INTO THE PHONE

Plug in the ethernet cable to the back of your computer and the other end into the modem. Turn the modem and router on.
Put the CD into the cd player and type in D:\DIR615.exe Click - Install router - and follow the instructions on the screen.
If the cd is not available type in 192.168.0.1 into your browser and put in the password "admin" then select - Setup Wizard

Further, you ISP should be able to hook you up if you contact them.

1. check the current firmware updates 2. verify no other devices next the the router interfering with the signal i.e. cell phones, cordless phone, microwaves, TV sets. 3. check your router or cable modem for connection during time the wireless is dropping connectivity.
If you have a hard connection that is you have a cable to your router you can go to Dlink's site and watch the setup videos if you are not savvy with technical terminology. there is also a site called Ehow that will educate an well as show how to utilize the wireless setup you have . hii, i had the same problem, if you have a gateway (modem) you can join them together and turn the modem on and wait for it to finish starting then turn your dir-615 on, and you shouldnt even have to configure it, it should just work, it did for me.
You do not need the disc. Using you browser, login into the router using the default IP 192.168.0.1 unless this has been changed and you should be able to configure your router.
login ADMIN and pass is blamk
Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method.
