A dl is flashing on the display when I start it

The error code "dl" is for door lock. From what I've read, it may mean you need to replace the latch assembly.

F dl = Door lock error
A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock
it six times before displaying the error code.
Possible causes/procedure:
¦ Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door.
¦ Door switch/lock unit failure.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check door switch/lock unit.
3. Check the wire harness connections to the door
switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU).

Hi, DL means Door Lock Failure while F is either (F80, 82,
84, 85).....
DL flashes if the following conditions occur:

• Door lid is not closed completely due to interference.
• Wash media buildup is preventing the lock bolt from extending.
• Machine/motor control detects open door lid switch when attempting to lock.
• Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lid is in a locked state.

ok, sounds like you should be seeing an error code flashing in the display with the lights. this will be an F followed by a number. or letter abbrev. like dL
With the pump starting with a new cycle started and draining but you get this light sequence (error) I believe the problem would be that it is seeing water in the tub and not seeing it leave, like a pressure sw problem.

or lock failure. Probably a bad wax motor. get ahold of your authorized dealer. This is a defect on these machines. They have a new and improved wax motor. Raise enough hell and they will fix it for you.

Looks like its true... Another major disadvantage. Removing TTL means removing one more hardware piece - TTL sensor. Pentax removed almost every nice feature, which needs some aditional or more expensive hardware: no TTL flash, less AF points, pentamirror... Seems like I bought Ds right in time.
