Press Del right after starting the computer to enter BIOS. A few ASUS motherboards use Ins instead.
OR Press F2 right after the computer starts up.
And try reconnecting your keyboard!!

Why does it display only logo?

You will not be able to change anything in the bios. Try going to Safe Mode and there you can choose an earlier date, if there is one or insert your OS boot disc and choose repair. Sounds like a windows file is damaged.

Unable to enter Asus 6850 BIOS

I would start by resetting your bios settings to default; turn off your system, remove the side cover and gently pry out the board battery (round "button battery" such as cr2032). Leave it out for about one minute, and reinstall. Then see if you get a post screen.

Selecting booting device

Normally with the new laptops you have to press F2 to access your bios settings, you will definitely be able to select the boot device from there.

If F2 does not work startup your laptop and watch the screen, there must be an option that will tell you which key to press to enter bios.

If the screen comes and goes to fast for you, press the pause button on your keyboard so you can read it at your own time and do your actual selection.

Hope it helps.

Boot problems

Hi, since everything is new, you can probably ask your source to replace the motherboard since it looks like a bios/mb problem. If for some reason, you can not, them maybe you would want to try and update the bios. Their latest bios version is 1804 (for Asus P5LD2) and may be downloaded from http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5LD2. This is only if you are comfortable flashing since it involves some risk. Further, you have to follow carefully the flashing instructions. Bios are very specific to model and version of the mb. Hope this works out for you and please let me know how things turn up. Regards.
