Question about Biostar M7NCD Pro Motherboard

1 Answer

My M7NCD motherboard will not read my video card but I put the video card in another computer and it worked. Is there another way to get my monitor hooked up without buying another video card and etc.

Hi,
Okay, since the card works on another motherboard, that indicates that there is noting wrong with the card.

The problem is either the motherboard, cpu or memory. Or you might not have connected all the proper power cables to the board.

If possible test each part on another motherboard to confirm what is faulty.

Please keep me updated on your progress.

try starting up in safe mode (F8 on startup), lower the resolution settings of your computer then restart in normal mode.

hope the above helps.

Screen will not stay on, getting message no input signal

The message input signal means no signal is being feed to the monitor.
Check the cable use to connect the monitor to the video card.. fix and secure the connection.
If the computer is reading and you know its working, check the video card.
Turn off the CPU disconnect the video card from the motherboard and reconnect.
Try to open your CPU and see if it reacts with your monitor. If nothing happens replace your video card

When I turn my monitor on, the green power button comes on and then turns to amber. Nothing will display. What should I try

You need to check your video card. Check if it is still ok and functioning properly. You can also try checking your memory card. that are the two pieces usually causes that problem. Try this :

1. Double check the cable that connects the monitor and video card. Remove the connection of your monitor to your CPU (the video card cable is what i mean) then turn on your monitor. If the monitor displays a message like this " Check signal cable" it means it is working fine and there is a problem in your CPU.

2. This step is just for PC that are using PCIE or AGP video card, not built in there motherboard. Remove your video card if you have a PCIE or AGP video card, using an eraser (pencil eraser) you can clean the connectors of your video card (the coppers that is use to connect it to motherboard).

3. Try to remove your memory card. And the same as what you do in your video card, use an eraser to clean up the copper connector of your memory.

4. Put it all back in place. Make sure it is properly connected. Then turn on your computer.

If your monitor is still not working, you may use an internal speaker so that you can check if there is a problem in your motherboard.

M7NCD ULTRA raid drivers

If the SATA drive is operating in 3.0 Gbps mode and your motherboard can only support 1.5 Gbps mode, the drive will not be detected in BIOS or XP. Try jumpering the drive to SATA 1.5 Gbps mode. The label on your hard drive should indicate which pins should be shorted to achieve this setting; if not, look up your particular model on WD's website to find the manual.
