Question about Compaq Presario V4000 Notebook
Due to a virus I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall both windows and the original HP software. I have everything working except my hard drive is now 10GB...it was 80GB before. Why is this? When I click on My Computer I only see a C drive. I believe I used to see a D drive as well. How can I fix this without reinstallling everything again? Is it possible?
Hp and Compaq usually have drives partitioned into 2, second is used for recovery. What I'm thinking happened here might be that when you re-install your windows, you might have picked the smallest size(2nd partition). The only way out is to re-install your windows and when you do that, you kust delete the biggest partition or try partiton magic.
