Question about Canon ZR65MC Mini DV Digital Camcorder

1 Answer

I cannot put a DV tape in my Canon ZR65MC. When I hit the eject button to load a tape, the tape mechanism raises up, but does not raise up enough for it to open to allow me to put a tape in. Is this something I can fix? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tape mechanism problems are quite complicated but they can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be diagnosed by a qualified service technician.

Canon ZR85 Tapes will not go in, it will eject the tape. Why?

Sounds as if your camera has a mechanical problem with the tape loading mechanism. It is possible that it just needs a clean/lube, but otherwise it will need to be repaired or replaced.

Can not eject tape

HI,

It seems that the deck was stuck or some parts have stuck to lower down the deck. You can try to push the eject button while helping the deck by gently opening or lowering it down. Just be careful on doing this to avoid any further damaged on the rotating gear inside.

Hope this helps .

Let me know for any clarification

I have an Elura 90. The cassette door opens but

When ejecting the tape you must hold the eject switch down for a full second. There are two stages to the eject process just as there are with the insertion of a videocassette. Hold the button in position long enough to hear the motor mechanism start.

MINI DV TAPE WON'T LOAD

First power off the unit, then remove the DV's tape housing , power up the unit, and allowed the mechanism to go back to the unload mode, make sure that the tape posts are at unload mode. then unplug the vcr back again, put back the tape's housing in the load position (tape in) power the vcr back on and push eject button to reset tape mechanism.
