To me, this sounds like this laptop been beat to almost death...i would prepare for a total failure by backing up everything you want to save, and buy a new laptop...
..or pay a repairman about the cost of a used laptop to try to fix what sounds like a bunch of breaking or broken connections....

Is there a freeze plug between the engine and transmission?

To answer your question, there is no freeze plug between the engine and transmission. Freeze plugs are the result of the engine block's manufacturing process.

Whether you are manufacturing one engine block or thousands, the process is the same. An engine form is creating in a block of material. The form is a hollowed out reverse image of the engine into which molten metal is poured and allowed to cool and cure. When the engine mold form is cooled sufficiently, it is hauled out of the material and cleaned so that you have the engine casting. The engine casting is then cleaned further to remove rough spots and other imperfections.

After this and any further cleanings, the engine casting is sent further down the line for more work and assembly.

During the casting process, there are holes on the surface of the form through which the molten metal flows to fill the form. Once the engine form is filled, a small amount of material is allowed to fill the access tunnels and cap them off. When the casting is first removed from its form, it will have some metal "legs" that protrude from the bottom of the casting. Those "legs" are cut off near the surface of the casting. They are known as the freeze plugs. They plug the casting while it freezes or cools, thus the name freeze plugs.

Engines and transmissions are joined by the clutch and clutch plate in both manual and automatic versions. You can find further information about cars and repairs by looking at: www

After placing my Haier 7 cu. ft. / 198 liter Chest Freezer HCM070LA in a horizontal or tilted position it doesn't want to freeze

If you have run it in a tilted position, the oil has migrated from the compressor to the evaporator. You need a technician to flush the oil back to the compressor. Only run equipment like this on a flat level surface. and always allow to stand a few hours after moving before switching on.

Nextech mouse through usb continues to install successfully, then freezes while trying to move about my laptop! No, it is not that the Lptp is working in the background, leaving the mouse to freeze th

Step 1:
For a standard trackball mouse, unplug the mouse, turn it over and then twist the retaining ring counter-clockwise to remove it. Remove the trackball inside the mouse. Clean the trackball with warm water and dry carefully. Clean the rollers inside the mouse with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Replace the trackball, then secure it with the retaining ring. Clean the outside of the mouse with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. For an optical or wireless mouse, clean the bottom of the mouse and the surface it sits on with a damp cloth. Solve Hardware Problems Make sure the mouse is connected properly. The connector will either be USB or PS/2. A PS/2 connector is color-coded green and can only be inserted in one direction. Check for any bent or broken pins or damage, then carefully plug it in, making sure the connection is secure. Reboot the computer. Connect the mouse to another computer, then reboot the PC. If the mouse works after testing it on another computer, the problem is most likely with your PC or operating system. Also, try a different mouse on your computer. If there is no PC freeze, your mouse is probably malfunctioning. Switch to a different USB port. Sometimes mouse freeze will occur if the mouse is connected to a USB hub. Connect the mouse directly to one of the USB ports on your PC. Try different ports until you find one that works. Replace the batteries. If you have a wireless mouse, replace the batteries with fresh ones. Also, try using a different kind of mouse pad. Sometimes surface imperfections can interfere with the operation of a wireless or optical mouse. Install more RAM or memory. If your PC doesn't have enough memory, PC mouse freeze may occur when you are running resource intensive programs. Installing more RAM will help your PC run more efficiently. Solve Software Problems Check for device conflicts. When you install another device on your computer, it can sometimes conflict with a PC mouse. Remove any new hardware and drivers you may have installed, then reboot the computer. Reinstall PC mouse drivers. In Windows, open "Control Panel" then "System." Select the "Device Manager" tab, then scroll to and select your mouse. Uninstall any drivers that are listed. Unplug the mouse and reboot the PC. Plug the mouse back in, reboot the system, then allow Windows to reinstall the drivers if prompted. Remove viruses. PC mouse freeze and other serious problems can be caused by viruses lurking on your system.Set the program to run a complete scan every 24 hours. Also make sure the virus definitions are updated regularly. Turn off video acceleration. Sometimes video acceleration can cause PC mouse freeze. Go to "Control Panel," then click "Display," and then "Change Display Settings." Click the "Advanced Settings" button, then the "performance" tab. Set the acceleration slider to "None," then reboot. Repeat the process moving the slider up one notch until you have the maximum amount of acceleration with no mouse freeze

Looks like an overheating problem.

First, make sure that you put your laptop on some hard surface. If you put in on your bed for example, the soft surface will block the air vent on the bottom of the laptop, resulting in poor cooling of the inner components.

Do you hear the fan working, and air blown out of the exit vent on the side (or rear) of the laptop?

If not, then perhaps the fan is broken and needs replacement.

If the fan can be easily heard, working at full speed all the time, there is a problem with blocking the air inlet, or the internal radiator/heatsink got covered with dust and lint, and needs cleaning - try compressed air blown from the opposite direction (from the air outlet) to blow away the dust - of course with the computer switched off, otherwise you'll be "fighting" the fan trying to blow in opposite direction. If this doesn't help, the laptop needs servicing, as it probably lost the heat-conductive layer between the processor and heatsink.

I have a problem with my windows vista toshiba satellite U300 laptop. it freezes sometime and if moved it stops working and shows a blue screen saying error. and now if i unplug my charger from the laptop...

Hi Beautiful, The freezing problem is usually caused by bad memory modules on your laptop, Have it look up by a tech, and clean the contacts on your memory modules, give him instructions to clean the contacts with an eraser and brush the memory slot terminals with a clean paint brush. IF still the problem persists, clean the memory module contacts with a very fine sand paper, around no. 600. If the problem persists again, reinstall your VISTA. call your friend, if they have copies of your softwares.

LCD screen looks like bad TV reception

if the display returns to normal when you press the bezel at on end means there is a bad connection to the inverter behind the bezel itself or the inverter is ready to give up the ghost.
you can attempt to dismantlethe laptop and remone the lid or in some cases just unscrew the bezel and remove the plastic cover, the inverter is at the bottom of the display you can't miss it

hope this helps
