To format your internal memory, go to Settings>restore factory settings>restore all

My Nokia N97 mini is hanging very often, specially when I switch on the phone. To get it well staterd I have to switch off and switch on again several times.

It hangs on boot due to some bad application on the phone.
You can reset phone to solve the problem. Here are the steps:
1. Make a backup of your contacts and messages as they will be DELETED after reset. 2. Take backup of internal memory to pc and then format it. To format, connect it to pc as mass memory, right click on the mass memory in my computer and select format 3. Take your memory card out, take its back up to pc and format it also. 4. Now dial *#7370# and select yes. Enter your password. The default password is 12345.
It will reboot and will solve your problem. Restore backup and data back to memory card and internal memory.
It will solve the problem of hanging.

N77. it says it says memory is full, i may not be able to receive any messages. After reformatting the memory card ( which is why i lose my favorite games in the application), it still tells me the same...

The memory full error comes not because of memory card. It comes because the internal memory is full. There was no need to format memory card. you have to format the internal memory.
Here is the procedure: 1. Take backup of your contacts and messages because they will be DELETED after formatting 2. Dial *#7370# from your phone. It will ask to format. Press yes 3. It will also ask the pin or password. The default password is 12345. The phone will restart and the memory full message will disappear.

Why do the videos go to internal instead of external memory?

try to do this.
1. check if your memory card is formatted using your phone formatting utility. if not, back up the files on your memory card to your computer and reinsert it to your phone and have it formatted there ( don't format your memory card from pc this is not a good idea for it).this is also a cause or one of the reasons why the files, even if you save to memory card will add to your phone internal folders. the memory card needs to adapt the phone internal first before you can use them.

to answer your question,
converting videos are not only the issues for samsung, other brands and models as well. not all video codecs are supported by 1 phone. if the manufacturers will install all the codecs for a phone player, they should install first a prom that is large enough to hold them. it's never easy huh, but look on the other side, you will learn how to convert videos not only on 1 file extensions but for many. :-)

now, to transfer files, check your phone pc connection settings, do these by selecting menu, phone settings, pc connections, and enable ask on connection, at least you can select whether you want to connect it by pc suite or by memory card. select memory card, at least on that way, you will know that your are transferring and copying files from you phone memory card to your pc and vise versa. once you had formatted your memory card, you can see the same folder as you have on your phone internals. you can easily drag and drop files.

adding videos to your internal phone, i don't believe you need to do that, but for ringing tones and alarms, the phone will immediately add them to you internal folders once you had assigned them. try going to your my files folder, and check for the files, filter them by phone and memory card. you can see the drop down list at right top hand corner of your phone and check it there if the files are there in your memory card, you don't need to copy it to phone memory. you can access the files there.
just select the files and select more for more options.

regards.

I bought a memory card but if I format it it says I will loose all data. Does that mean all my contacts, texes, photos and videos etc

yes you will lose all data. But now it all depends as if you have all these data stored on the memory card then you will lose them. But if instead it is stored on the phone's internal memory then a format of the memory card will not change any of the phone's data, provided you are formatting the memory card and not the phone's internal storage...Hope this helps.

I have nokia n73. there is a problem in its use. whenever i use it , it gives the message of memory full and asks me to delete some data. please tell me some solution.

The phone's internal memory and memory card may be running out of space. Try to delete unnecessary files and free some memory space. Go to Menu>Tools>File Manager. Select the folder or file you want to delete and scroll left or right to switch from the phone's internal memory to the memory card.

Format the memory card and the phone's internal memory if the problem is not resolved above. But it will erase all saved data on both memory.

Memory Card Formatting Procedure
  1. Go to MENU > TOOLS > MEMORY.
  2. On the memory card menu press OPTIONS.
  3. Scroll to Format memory card.
  4. Press Select.
  5. Select Yes
  6. Once the formatting is complete, remove the memory card.
Phone Memory Formatting Procedure
  1. On your phone dial *#7370#.
  2. Press Yes then enter your phone lock code. Default code is 12345.
  3. Formatting is complete when the phone restarts. Insert the memory card and format it again.

LG kc910 Browser cache full?

I guessed at 0000 and it allowed me to format it.
Although bizarrely it was showing that it had 1.5GB free in the memory manager thingy, but wouldn't let the camera access it

Before you format it - it might be worth checking the "Primary Storage Setting" under Memory Manager and set it to external - it might be that the internal memory is full. Indeed - it might be that the web browser only uses internal memory for it's run-time uses, so you might need to make sure that there is some free space on the internal memory, full stop. (You can always move stuff to the external drive in the media album to make space if you don't want to delete things - beware though: If you've replaced the background picture on your main screen - this must live on the internal memory).
