Will I still have water running to the water heater if I shut off the bypass valve?


Bypass valve is to bypass the water heater. No bypass valve and always water in tank. Put a bypass valve and shut it up it is like no bypass valve.Open the bypass and shut up the input (cold water) and output hot water) no running water in heater tank but still have cold water in the rest of the house even in the hot side of the faucet.

Idle problem


No need to replace it (idle air bypass valve) just follow this procedure I used while working for a Ford dealer, 90% of the time it cures the problem.

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

Engine shakes no power fast idle at startup very smooth...then shakes


Keep in midn that is a '94 and it probably has a lot of miles on it, so the first thing I suggest is to give the throttle body and Bypass Air Control Valve (BAC) a good cleaning. This will, very often, cure many idle problems. Other things to check for are vacuum lines and the large air hose between the Air Flow Meter and intake manifold for cracks. Also check the PCV valve and hoses.

If everything is okay, then I would have to look at the secondary ignition system, distributor cap, distributor rotor, ignition wires and spark plugs.

Need the pto to work on a 6300 john deere tractor we have changed the fuses and changed the sencer on the back can you help


If you have tried a new sensor and a new switch the the next step is to replace the pto solenoid valve.If that proves fruitless then the b.c.u.needs to be replaced or bypassed.The solenoid valve will cure your problem 90% of the time.If that does not work,let me know,i can tell you how to by-pass the b.c.u..

I need location of thermostat on 2003 cadalac cts 3.2


It is not easy to get to, it is under the intake. What is your problem? I had one of these that i changed the thermostat on to cure a check engine light and over cooling issue, and it didn't fix it. It had a bad coolant bypass valve that is bolted to the radiator

Car has a tendecy to surge rpm when at idle or first put into gear seems to stop when engine becomes hot


Quite likely to be idle bypass valve. On older Saabs, this was located in two hoses near the throttle body, but now they are usually integral to the throttle body. A quick and low risk way is to remove the bypass valve (unplug the electrical connector first) and clean it and the seating in the throttle body. Try putting the connector back on, turn ignition on, before replacing the valve in the body. It should move smoothly, if it does, then hopefully, you have a cure, if not, try another clean or buy a replacement. If it does move smoothly it wasn't the idle bypass valve and more diagnosis will be required.

A/C REPAIR AND IDLE PROBLEM


Clean the trottle body and air bypass valve, then disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, this should cure your concern.
