The E03 code indicates (1) That the Paper Output tray is closed and you are trying to print. Open the Paper Output Tray and the printer will resume printing. (2) There is a paper jam. Remove the jam, reload the paper into the printer, then press the "Black" or "Color" button,
I would do all of the following and see if yo can clear this code. It is
not on any Canon list of possible codes, so I have no idea what it
means., but let's do this: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Remove
the print cartridges. Look at them, are they leak free? Look into the
cartridge holders. Are they clean?. Dried ink or blobs should be cleaned
off with a little alcohol and a Qtip. Are the little wire holders bent or broken? Do they look exactly the same? Turn the printer back on reinstall the cartridges.Check in your printer preferences/services and clean your cartridges.
Turn the printer back on reinstall the cartridges.Check in your printer preferences/services and clean your cartridges. Now
turn it off again and unplug it. Open the paper jam door and gently
push the paper roller forward until it clicks. At the same time, look
for even the tiniest scrap of anything in there. Close the paper jam
door and plug your printer back in. Restart your computer. If the
problem is not solved. You may need to reinstall the printer. Do You
have your original disc? Be sure to do a clean install. ( Turn off all
running programs in the lower right corner including your virus control.
Also go to Toolbar>tools>internet options>general>and
delete all you cookies and temporary internet files.) Turn off and
unplug your printer. Reinstall the software. When it is finished if
it has not told you to plug your print back in do so now. Restart your
computer and turn your printer on. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa! Paper jam means their may be small bit paper jam in side, actually there are some "micro sensors" that detect a paper
jam. There will be tiny piece of paper inside those
sensors, thus tripping the sensor and paper jammed keeps coming up. To solve this first of all Open printer cover and check to make sure no paper or foreign objects obstructing the printer feeder, If you become sure that now really there is no paper, dust or foreign objects thenTurn the printer off, and disconnect the AC power-cable. Open the printer cover & now give the printer a "blow-job" by compressed air. If still problem exist then best & final option is to just contact to any Canon Printers service provider. I hope this solution helps you Thank you for using FixYa!
I had the same problem for DAYS and there was no paper jammed at all. I went to the cannon site as a last ditch effort & the solution below fixed it. Just clean the rollers and the link tells you how. Good luck!
there is paper stuck in the printer.. remove the paper it should be between the gears and rollers (it could even be a small piece) it should work..
If not do a roller cleaning...
if that fails or the printer does not support it then move the print head all the way to the other side with the printer turned off.
unplug the printer, hold the power button down and plug it back in, press the paper feed button twice. turn the printer of and on again and press the paper feed button once.
