My PS2 multitap has been working fine for years and now suddenly when plug it in the playstation in port 1or 2, the playstation will only read the controller in port A in the multitap so i can still only play 2 players overall with the multitap and yes the games i tried were compatible. What is wrong and what can i do to fix it??

If you already tried to use a working controller on the other port and still it wont work it only means that the other port of your multi tap is already malfunctioning

Same Problem

If you mean only one of it's ports work, there is a little switch on it that allows 2 player or 2-4 player that you have to toggle.
If you mean it only works if you plug it into the 1st player/2nd player slot on the PS2 itself, then you need to post more information

The multitap isn't working at my playstation 2

i have had a ps2 multitap ever since i bought a ps2. its great, allwows you to play 4 players and is extremly fun. from my experiences:
- u cannot plug in into a ps
- u can use ps multitap on ps2, however...u cannot use ps2 dualshock conrollers
- i have tried using my multitap on my mates ps2 and for some odd reason, it does not work on that ps2 (theres nothing wrong with the ps2)
- when using for some games eg. defjam fight foor ny...u have to plug it in the second port of the ps2..only then you can play more then 1 player
- most of the games you just have to plug it normally in the first port
- i have never dropped the multitap..however ..some times it does not work propelrly, unless you try again
- if are planning to get medal of honour: european assault... then it is vital to get a multitap because u cannot play against cpu...in multiplayer mode.
the RRP is 29.99 pound however.. you can get it cheaper from ebay
overall the multitap is great fun if you want to play 4 players... or else...... This multitap for the PS2 worked great!!! The thing is that this version of the multitap will only work for the 70000 series PS2's (the PS2 slim) and is not compatible with the 30000 and 50000 series. Be sure to check your PS2 for the correct series number and purchase accordingly.

My multitap is not working whats wrong?

Which port the multitap goes into varies somewhat from game to game, but normally, unless the game supports more than 4 players, it goes in slot 1, with all controllers plugged into it including player 1

pls rate.
