Did you install the SOFTWARE that came with the Camera BEFORE you plugged in the camera? If not, you will need to disconnect the camera, reboot the PC, install the software and then connect the camera. If the camera is connnected before the software install you won't have the proper drivers for it to work.

Plug the cam to the pc and see if it is working by using the pc monitor to show the images, if it is working then there is a malfunction in the flat cable of your cam screen which can only be fixed by an expert

Tip

When installing a Web-Cam make sure your old cam has been uninsulated.

When you set up a new Web-Cam for your computer go under to the computers Start up Key, click the "Computer" button, and you will see a option to pick from. Click "Control Panel" and a list of installed programs, and accessories installed in your computers memory will come up. Find your old Web-Cam under the installed "Device Manager" icon.
Uninstall your old cam, and make sure the New one IS NOT plugged in at this point. After you uninstall the old one, you can then PLUG in the new cam, go back to "Device Manager" and click on "View Hardware and Devices" and your computer should recognize you have new hardware plugged into one of your USB ports, and a balloon should pop up, and Click that ballon, your computer SHOULD read and install the Cam, if not use your "Device Manager" and IF a disk came with your Cam, put it into your computer at this point if you already havent. Your PC should recognize what you are tring to do, and install the Cam. Hope this helps, if not type Web Cam into the search engine in your computers search tab, while under the Device Manager, and it will tell you step by step on how to do lots of things.

My Vista doesn't recognize the photos on my M-415. "NO PHOTOS FOUND"

It may show that error possibly due to any one of the following reasons.1. Memory card data corrupted 2. System incompatibility to Camera.
If fomer is the problem then it is better you can take the cam to a nearest data recovery centre or your cam service centre.

Will a VIVITAR VIVI CAM 3105S WORK ON A MAC COMPUTER

The camera doesn't care what type computer you use. And once the pictures are on a computer, the computer doesn't care what type camera they came from.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

I must be in some different mode, but I plug in the camera to charge (I don't have a manuel) and it shows USB: pc, printer or pc cam. How do I get into picture mode?

For one thing, you can't charge this camera via usb. pc hooks it up as a flash drive. pc cam makes it a web-cam but you have to install drivers for it. printer is for hooking up to printers that have usb host mode and can be connected directly to the printer.

Try reseting the camera. Here are the instructions that are taken from this Kbase article: http://us.creative.com/support/kb/article.asp?l=2&sid=2544 "Turn on the camera and then press the Snapshot button ( on the top, right hand side of camera) and the Operation Mode button simultaneously for more than two seconds. This deletes all files from the camera "
