So far, ALL the papers I fed have been jammed. Tried the reset with # and 3 but still doesn't work. It failed the aligning printer step. Not sure what to do.

Hi,
Unplug the power cable then Press & hold # and 3 keep them on hold and plug the power cable back in, do not release the keys till either the screen goes off or it says partial reset ... it shuld work ... if it still gives you the same issue, get back to me on my email :- hashir.tasleem@gmail.com
best of luck

Hi, sounds like the feed thingy at the rear is misaligned.

Open rear compartment door to reveal the thingy !!

Remove by releasing clips either side pull clear, while out just check there is no paper jam, locate back in making sure the thingy relocates with an obvious click on securing . Hope this solves problem.

Paper jams with hp C7280

Here are the specs for paper for that printer. It's not listed on the HP website the same as you've listed it.

Here's a video about how to solve jams on that printer. If the paper doesn't meet specs, the video won't help.

PHOTOSMART C7280 PAPER JAM, WE CANNOT GET TO THE PAPER

If you read the troubleshooting section about paper jams (in the book) you will see that you clear paper jams by unclipping the duplexer at the back of the printer. It has two quick-release buttons on the sides - just push them in, it pops out and you can clear it. My 85-year-old mother had the same problem.

Paper jam

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavypaper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the printbutton applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so itwill feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases Ihave been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited thereover time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers thisway, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
