Question about Acer Aspire 1200XV (LX.A0105.011) PC Notebook
Does this behavior repeat in safe mode? If so, the issue is the touchpad assembly in your laptop. If it does not- the issue is with the driver for your touchpad. In order to boot to safe mode, when you see the bios splash, start tapping F8. Select safe mode or safe mode w/ networking. The reason is that in safe mode, windows uses the default driver for a mouse. If the behavior repeats in safe mode- you've eliminated the driver as the source of the problem.

Look for a '.ini' file called 'Rise2' - double click it to open it up.
You will see this about mid way through the list that then pops up:
change all of the 0's into 1 - then go to file, save. This should fix any issues you have with the mouse not working properly.
