Question about Samsung C5510 Cell Phone

1 Answer

My Samsung GT S3100 will no longer allow me to send text messages without entering in a Text message centre/Server number/code. I think I may have accidentally erased it but resetting the phone settings won't do it. Does anyone know what it is?

Contact your cellular providers support desk and they will help you fix your settings. The server information is different for each provider and your provider is the best person to ask.

Problems sending or receiving SMS may be caused by no or incorrect SMS settings. To set up your phone to use SMS, you need a message centre number, which is provided by your network operator. This is often set up automatically when inserting a new SIM card to a phone. Whiteout the message centre number, you are not able to send or receive SMS.

To edit the service centre number:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity >Message settings.
  2. Select Text message.
  3. Highlight Service centre and select Edit.
  4. Highlight a service centre number and selectOptions > Edit > Continue.
  5. Enter the service centre number and selectSave > Yes.
  6. Highlight the service centre number and selectSelect to use the defined service centre number.

To add a service centre number provided by your network operator:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity >Message settings.
  2. Select Text message.
  3. Highlight Service centre and select Edit.
  4. Select Add to add a new service centre number.
  5. Enter the service centre number and selectSave.
  6. Highlight the service centre number and selectSelect to use the defined service centre number.
This should help you.
any further questions feel free to ask.
Thanks.

ur message centre may be wrong!
switch off ur phone n rmove d sim!

if the problem persists then
call the customer care of ur network provider! ask them abt their mesage center number n then open
messaging>>options>>settings>>text message>>message centres>>sim message centre>>message centre number
n then enter that no. there!

this may solve ur problem!
