Windows Explorer is crashing on start up.
It is possible to restore your computer to a previous good configuration.
here is a link to the instructions.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084
If your computer has a good restore point you will be good
If not you may have to restore using the windows disk and do a "Repair Installation" of the Operating System.
A repair installation will reload all the operating system files without wiping your data. And make sure you have a good Virus Software. Because it sounds like you got a virus in your machine or a nasty spyware.

Probably your system file the explorer.exe is corrupted or your computer has virus.

First thing to do, restart your computer, boot on safemode and install updated antivirus. If its not possible you need to reinstall windows.

Sounds like a memory corruption problem. Is the memory card rated at a fast enough speed for the application you are intending to use it for?

I would try to reformat the memory card and try again. If that fails, it is either a faulty memory card or the card isn't rated for that type of use.

Explorer.exe - application error

Try the following to gather additional information.
Run a test on the hard drive(s) for any bad sectors via chkdsk
Run a memtest to verify the integrity of the physical memory. I would suggest the memtest via the Knoppix CD.
Look in the Windows Event Viewer, Application and System log for any possible resource contention issues or other system problems.

This could be a memory problem or a problem with the OS (XP). If you can boot the original XP CD like your doing an install then it's not a memory problem more the likely. Can you boot your XP CD?
