Why is my Maytag Epicz model #MGDZ600TW2 not starting amd giving me an error code F01. What does it mean?

F01 is a control unit failure does this come up when you push the start button or did you go into diagnostic to get this code I have seen it come up as a false code check the start button does it spring back like all the other buttons if so replace control if not the button is broke

Why is my Maytag Epicz model #MGDZ600TW2 not starting and giving me an error code F01. What does it mean?

The F01 error code is typically a communication fault. You may have a defective main control board. Unplug the dryer or turn off the breaker to the dryer. Double check to make sure dryer has no power. Remove the screws holding the top on at the back of the dryer. Standing in front of the dryer push down and slide the top away from you then lift. With the top removed you will see a metal bracket on the left side housing a control board. Remove the control board from the bracket. You may want to take a picture to reference where the wires go. Remove the white cover of the control board then gently remove the control board from the white housing by pressing in the small tabs. If you see a black mark on the back side of the control board and the white housing replace that control board. According to your model number the main control board is part number W10111606.

MAYTAG EPICZ DRYER ERROR CODE F-01

F01 means the main control board or "micro computer" has detected an internal short. Unfortunately, the only way to correct this issue is to replace the control board itself. It's under the top panel in the front right corner.

F 21 error code? Maytag epic z washer

The F21 code on the Maytag EPIC is indicative of a pump problem. The pump impellers should be checked, there should be four of them. Sometimes the impeller blades can be broken by coins, or other items. Make sure that the pump is clear of debris, then remove the discharge hose, and blow through it.
If after clearing the initial slug of water, the hose doesn't blow free and clear, you have something stuck in there.

Maytag epic z washer flashes f-01 error code

I had the same problem and the code f01 would flash, I could select the wash and make selections with all the other buttons but once I pushed start it would flash f01. I fixed the problem by not turning the machine off and pulling the power cord out of the wall and it seemed to reset it. I could immediately turn the machine on and it stared working.

Maytag EpicZ has a F01 code. The machine will not start!

I have had the same problem and I just fixed it. The f01 code was flashing and I left the machine on and pulled the cord out of the outlet and it restarted. Mine would not start, it would power on and you could select the type of wash and make any selection, but once you pressed start it would start flashing f01. I left if flashing and pulled the plug and it started working immediately.
