Your battery's cell may have died. You can find a replacement battery on ebay, or on www.pricewatch.com

I have new laptop how many hour battery charge first time

First Time Charging
  • The amount of time it takes for your battery to fully charge depends on many factors, like your battery type and operating system. Many newer laptops will charge in 15 to 20 minutes, while others can take a few hours.

When you're charging your battery for the first time, charge it fully before using your laptop. You may have to go through a battery cycle a couple times before your battery begins performing at its maximum capability. To do this, charge your battery fully, let it discharge to about five percent, and then fully charge it again

There are several steps you can take to help you get maximum performance from your Laptop Battery:
Prevent the Memory Effect - Keep the Laptop Battery healthy by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every two to three weeks. Exceptions to the rule are Li-ion batteries which do not suffer from the memory effect.
Keep the Acer Laptop Battery Clean - It's a good idea to clean dirty battery contacts with a cotton swab and alcohol. This helps maintain a good connection between the battery and the portable device.
Exercise the Battery - Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time. We recommend using the battery at least once every two to three weeks. If a Laptop Battery has not been used for a long period of time, perform the new battery break in procedure described above.
Battery Storage - If you don't plan on using the Laptop Battery for a month or more, store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. Ni-Cd, Ni-MH and Li-ion batteries will self-discharge during storage; remember to recharge the batteries before use.

My acer 4250 laptop is completely dead. what to do?

Charge up the battery, and if that doesn't work, change the battery if older than a year or two.
I've had to purchase a few batteries in the past few years for my Acer laptop from Ebay.com due to the fact that they don't seem to last very long before they won't take a charge.

It seems like every 6 months to 1 year to 1.5 years I have to change my laptop battery.

Other than that, my Acer seems to have held up pretty well considering I upgraded several components.

    I would buy again.

Hello , I have acer aspire one 751, with win

OK, it sounds like the acer aspire one 751 has a bad battery that will need to be replaced. It is not taking a charge, so it is not detected even though it is connected to the laptop. The 'plugged in' message shows that the charger is connected and detected by the computer, but the battery is 'not charging' due to the bad cells.

Good luck on finding a replacement battery.

How long do i need to charge the laptop for the first time when i bought it ACER AS5732zg

Laptop batteries are notorious for dying out and losing charge quickly. If you treat your battery with the utmost care, you'll have success in getting the most out of it. First make sure you charge your laptop battery properly when using it for the first time.

Most laptops today are equipped with Lithium Ion batteries. It's essential that you learn your model's specifications so you can follow the correct usage practices. This is the only way you'll be able to achieve maximum battery power.

The amount of time it takes for your battery to fully charge depends on many factors, like your battery type and operating system. Many newer laptops will charge in 15 to 20 minutes, while others can take a few hours. When you're charging your battery for the first time, charge it fully before using your laptop. You may have to go through a battery cycle a couple times before your battery begins performing at its maximum capability. To do this, charge your battery fully, let it discharge (through normal use) to about five percent, and then fully charge it again. This is the 2nd time that my battery won't take a charge. So now my 2nd battery doesn't work!! I have only had this Acer Aspire 150-1949 for a year. Do I have to buy yet another battery??

Try to perform power drain first before buying a new battery. Take out the battery first then unplug the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs. Put the battery back in, plug in the power adapter then power up the computer.

    Laptop not getting charged

Take it back to someone else. SMOKE is bad. Electronics tend not to work when you let the smoke out of them. Even tho the operating system may say its charging or that it is running off of mains power it may not be getting current to the battery to charge properly because the some has been let out of the components in the battery.
If you have troubles returning it simply tell the manager on duty that this is a Lithium Ion battery that may now be DANGEROUS to you and your loved ones. And is considered a letheal device according to the TSA that looks for Batteries that have been compromised.
Do not expect much from ACER, sorry, used to work in tech support here and ACER has not been known for quick helps. but complain to the manager where you got it and he may take it back in order to avoid a lawsuit from an EXPLODING battery.
