    Thanks for your response!!

If the water is not draining from your dishwasher, verify the following:
    Verify
that there is not a clog in the drain hose or air gap. This is
typically the reason that a dishwasher won't drain and the clog is
usually where the drain hose attaches to the garbage disposal or sink
drain pipe. Remove the hose and clear any clogs, then reinstall.

    Verify
that water from the sink drain is not making it's way into the
dishwasher. I would recommend creating a high loop in the dishwasher
drain pipe, which is attached to the sink drain, under the sink. The
high loop can be fastened to underneath the countertop. This will
prevent any water from entering the dishwasher from the sink; it also
prevents the dishwasher drain water from making it's way back into the
    dishwasher.

Verify that the pumps drain impeller is working. You can reach the
impeller from inside the dishwasher after removing the lower rack, spray
arm, and arm support. This typically involves removing a few screws.
Once upper parts are removed, inspect the drain impeller, which pushes
the water toward the drain port, for any cracks or missing blades. If
the impeller is defective, the water will not drain properly and you
    would need to replace it.

Verify that the drain valve is
working; many are controlled with an electric solenoid that opens the
valve, sending the water to the drain. There is a chance that the
solenoid or the diverting lever could be stuck which would prevent the
water to drain. If so, try to free up the solenoid and lubricate the
lever. Otherwise the solenoid or pump assembly may have to be replaced.

    Verify
that the motor is turning/ working and verify that there is power to
the motor. If the motor hums but doesn't turn, it may need to be
replaced. Motors can get stuck if not used regularly. If the motor is
defective, the water will not drain and you would need to replace it.

    There
are ways to test the pump and motor with a multimeter. If you are not
comfortable with doing this, you may want to have a technician test it
    for you.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

    Hope i helped you.

Water does not drain after washing the dishes. It just sits in the bottom of the dishwasher.

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

My bosch dishwasher will not drain and makes a humming noise

Humming noise is an indication of your drain motor getting power but not spinning. Either your drain pump is defective and needs to be replaced, or something is stuck in the pump preventing it from draining out the water. Either way you will have to take the dishwasher out and get at the pump from the bottom of the machine.

Water in bottom of bosch dishwasher will not drain. How do I get this water to drain

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. To access the drain pump, please follow the procedure---
1. Drain pumps are mounted to sumps in the front of dishwashers --they're easily accessible from the front of dishwashers by removing toe kicks.
2. Tools needed: small flat blade screwdriver (for unlocking terminals).
3. Remove toe kick/base cover, pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires (using screwdriver to unlock locking terminals).
4. To remove pump, pull latch (on circular collar) & rotate pump clockwise (cw).
5. To install new pump, insert @ 2:00 position & rotate counterclockwise (ccw).
6. Clean water & debris from base, then check float operation.
7. Connect wires, then install base cover & toe kick.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

You need to check and clean the pump filter if you have not already done so.
This is located at the bottom front right of washer.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

My Bosch shx46A05UC no longer will drain.....it

I ran into the SAME problem with my Bosch SHX46A06UC /21. The problem ultimately ended up being a clog in the air gap vent, (meaning, SOMEBODY ran the dishwasher without the bottom filter being in place or not in place properly). Remove the air gap cover and upper surface nut to drop the air gap vent into the area under the sink. Disconnect the hoses from the air gap vent filter (placing a bucket under the hose from the dishwasher). Run the drain cycle on the dishwasher. The washer should drain into the bucket and let you know that your pump works and that there are no clogs or kinks in the drain hose. (This will also remove the clog if so). The air gap vent's smaller hose connection is MOST LIKELY where your clog is. Look at the upper end of the air gap vent. You'll see a couple of clips on opposite sides of each other, that hold the air vent cap in place. Using a small screwdriver, (or your hands if you can), depress the clips (or one at a time) to get to the point where you can pull the vent cap off the filter. Either use water or a thin, long blade screwdriver to force any objects out of the filter. You should now have full flow through both branches of the filter. Using water and a rag, clean the vent cap and filter. Mount the air gap vent filter back onto the sink. Reconnect the hoses and remove the dishwasher's internal filter(s) and clean them as well while you're at it, making sure to remove any debris that might remain underneath the filter and has the chance of clogging the unit again.

Run the washer again to test. You should be good!

Cheers!
