Do you already have the rebuild kit??. Could be a cut o ring the cylinder seal might be cracked , there are quite a few items to check, specifically where is the air coming from, the exhaust, if so then I would look for the items mentioned. It would be best to download a breakdown for the tool and if you are mechanically inclined start disassembly laying parts out in the order removed and also maybe take a few quick pics to help you in reassembly. they are not that hard to rebuild. Let me know and I will see about the breakdown and rebuild kit for you but I need the model number and give me some general area you are in and I will try and find parts somewhat locally

Nailer is shooting air out of trigger, is not releasing brad

Sounds like the head valve. Remove the head cap take out the head valve, clean, re-fit and give it a few drops of air line oil. Then give it a try. Good luck.

Just lately my bostich coil framing gun is blowing out air from the top when I pull the trigger.I opened it up and the valve was stuck open so I popped it back down. Its colder now so should I be...

Usually this happens with the lack of lubrication as well as small leaks in the O-ring seals. I would closely examine the seals. See the link below to see a parts breakdown for Bostitch nailers. Enter your model number and you will see the parts breakdown and part numbers. Use the diagrams as a guide for disassembly and reassembly.

Feel free to post any additional questions that you have. I have had my nailer for over 20 probelm free years. The key is lubrication.

Constant air leak

Sounds like you need a repair kit or take to a tool company that installs the kit.

Bostich nailer N79WWblows continous air

If the nailer is passing air from directly out of the trigger valve, it must be replaced (P/N-TVA11). If it is passing air from anywhere else, (eg back cap or front ) it needs an O-ring kit (P/N- ORK11)

Bostich N80 Framing nailer

Sorry about the delayed response. This unit needs to have the O-rings replaced. The return of the firing pin is not happening correctly. This means that the pressure release holes are still engaged. When the pin pushes out the nail, the return should cause the holes to get covered. If there is an air leak, the return will not complete resulting in an even larger air leak which is what you are now seeing. This is a relatively simple repair for any shop that handles these and would be considered a standard maintenance effort. These are decent tools and with proper maintenance will last for years. Mine is over 22years old and going string.

Bostich framing nailer leaks air out driver hole

Generally, air leaking from the nose of the gun is caused by the vinyl headvalve/cylinder seal. It is installed on the headvalve and snugs against the cylinder. I would also check the cylinder ring supporting the cylinder that is visable when the head is removed. The cylinder ring is made of white plastic and has an oring on outside edge and seals against the cylinder with another oring. The ring tends to crack allowing air out nose. Some cylinder rings were made of metal, which is better and do not fail. Metal or plastic, check the orings there. Not to worry, these parts are not expensive and available at www.bostitch.com. enjoy

The o-rings need to be replaced and/or the trigger assembly is defective. Look around at local lumber yards for a "Bostich days" promotion. Often with the purchase of a box of nails, the Bostich rep will "service" up to 2 guns for free. If this is not an option for you because of time, you can purchase the o-ring kit and replace the rings yourself. This is not a difficult repair. Also, be sure to lubricate the guns with pneumatic oil frequently as this will keep the rings lubtricated and prevent them from drying out and leaking.

Hope this helps,

Dan
