Question about Philips GoGear SA5285/37 Digital Media Player

Open Question

I have a Philips GoGear SA52XX. When I turn it on and select music, i get a message that says, "Please free up 50 MB of space to refresh the player." Yet, when I try to do that, it won't let me.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: my gogear wont load

You need to update the firmware to resolve the issue, but here are some pre-steps:
Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
Try another USB port
Reset the player

If that fails:
Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

If still nothing:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

If these methods fail, call Philips to see if you are still in-warranty.

Turn on mp3 player and push music then it says please free up 50mb of space to refresh the player can anyone help?

The mp3 needs a certain amount of space to work. In your case iit needs 50mb out of your selected size allocated. For example, you may have a 2gb mp3 player, but it needs 50mb to work. All mp3 players are like this. It means you have too much stuff on it.
