Either the flyback or the HV splitter are the two most likely causes followed by one of the CRTs.

Shut off the tv, unplug it, hold the power button on the tv for 90 seconds. Plug it back in. Hit menu? Do you see a menu? (if not, your tv needs serviced)

You might also have a cracked LCD.

I would check the fuse on the main board. Check the Capacitors on the Power Supply board. Seeing that you unplugged it and replugged it in you might have bad caps that were weak to begin with. Please learn how to safely work on a TV before attempting . Even when a tv is unplugged it has enough power to kill you. Discharge all Capacitors first. make sure its unplugged of course.

Tv turns on but makes an electric cracking sound and shuts off another one turns on then the screen wigs out and turns off with the power light flashing

Try to unplug tv from the power source for 2-5 minutes and if still have the crackling sound it means the tv needs to be fix. So check your tv's warranty and call the tv's manufacturer to have it fix or replaced.

Sharp 26'' LCD HD screen went white, sound is fine

Go ahead and try unplugging the video (yellow) cable and plugging it back in.
If that doesnt work, do you have any spare video cables try those.
Then unplug your tv for 2 mins and hope for the best.
GOOD LUCK.

If i turn off my tv it wont turn back on

This problem is either the TV's software or how the mainboard is distributing power so instead of just unplugging the TV, try a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so the device is not grounded to the house. 2. Press and HOLD the product's own power button for 1 minute to drain the capacitors. 3. Plug the product back into a wall outlet and try to turn it on.
Note: This procedure works with battery operated devices as well so remove the batteries and hold down it's power/on-off button.  Electricity can remain in capacitors and on circuit boards enough to prevent normal functionality. By clearing the residue electricity, your product will have a fresh start and many times this will resolve a buggy or non-responsive device that appears to be dead.
Since hardware either works or it doesn't, your issue is either software or power related since you can get it to work so hopefully the power drain will indicate further.

245BW Snap/Crack sound and then does not work

Be very careful! Some monitors/TV's have 30,000+ volts DC in them even when not plugged into AC house current. The crack/snap sound was most likely an electrical component breaking down and shorting against the metal of the case of the monitor. I would take the monitor to an authorized repair center because the danger of getting shocked/killed is very possible while working on this type of problem at home.

Sound but no picture

Can you bring up the TV's onscreen menu at all when the sound is being heard? Are you hearing the sound from the TV's speakers or from external speakers like a surround setup? If the OSD is not showing up, then a video sustain boards appears to be corrupt and the TV would require service.

You still could at least try a power drain as this has rarely fixed this kind of issue:

1. Unplug the product's power cable so that the device is not grounded to the house. Do not simply turn off the power-bar if one is in use.
2. Press and hold in the products power button for 1 minute to release the retained electricity from the capacitors and circuit board.
3. Plug the product back into the wall outlet rather than a power-bar to rule it out of contributing to the problem and turn the device back on.

Bad electric shorting sound

when your tv starts making this kind of noises is ussually related to high voltage or a degraded component,If you are familiar with tv service you can remove the back and take a look just to check if you can see what is making the sound, sometimes you can see it if it is a degraded component cooking but if it is a heavy leakage of high voltage you will not see it and it can be dangerous to be even close to it,If you decide to go in to check you need to be very carefull ,I would suggest you call for assistance from a servicer if you are not too familiar with tv service.
