Just can adjust the trigger pull by adjusting the little screw behind the trigger itself. Check out the manual here, it has a picture to show you exactly how / where to do this. View the manual directly right here, it's on the first page it shows it there for you.

Most nailers have a two position setting on the trigger to allow for single fire or bump fire. If set on bump fire, the gun will work better when you bump fire the gun instead of placing the gun on the work then depress trigger. Bump fire works best when safety spring has good tension. Easy test. Make sure that the safety spring is in place (with air hose removed, contact foot should spring back quickly when pushed against work). With air connected, hold trigger and quickly bounce the gun against the work. If the gun does not fire when you bump, the trigger is most likely set to single fire. With trigger set to single fire, you must place the gun against the work, then depress trigger. If the gun shoots two nails while set to single fire, most likely worn trigger or worn out trigger valve. These parts are not expensive and are easy to replace. Good luck

RN46-1 Piston won't retract.

It sounds like the issue would still be with the driver O-ring, but it could also be with the O-ring or the ball inside the trigger valve. You could try taking the pin the hold the trigger off, and removing the valve to check the o-ring inside. They don't sell the o-ring or ball separately for Bostich, but the kit is available here as #27:

Pull the trigger, no nail, only continuos air until I release tyhe trigger. not jammed, gun is clean, very new. acted that way right out of the box then it worked and then not and so on, worked...

Safety foot and lever inside of trigger are not pushing the trigger pin all the way in. To verifty that the gun will fire, remove the nails to allow for dry fire. Remove the trigger to reveal the trigger valve. Hold the gun against old coiled rubber hose or soft wood. Very quickly depress the trigger pin all the way in. If the gun fires, adjust safety foot and trigger so that the trigger pin is fully depressed when your bump fire. If the gun will not fire after adjustment, remove the head and lube headvalve/orings with silicone paste lube.

Nail gun shoots 2-3 nails, not one. last week 2 of them hit me in the thumb. has been doing this for years. I have put up with it because I did not know what to do about it.

Most nailers work better by bump firing the gun. Less likely to double fire. This is a common problem amoung brands. If you place nailer on work then trigger, you may/will have problems as you describe. There is usually an option of triggers or builtin method of single firing the gun. With single fire trigger, you can place gun on work and fire. The will not reset for next round untill you let go of trigger and lift gun off the work. If your gun is double firing even with bump method, then replace the trigger valve.

Paslode framer when you depress trigger there no resistance and it does not fire

Paslode framer has a lever inside of trigger that may be bent or missing. Easy to check. Remove air line and nails. Remove trigger by pulling pin. Check under trigger for missing parts. Test gun by connecting to air and place nose of gun against wood or hard rubber and then depress firing pin. If gun fires then problem is with lever under trigger or safety mechanism which is in two parts. Check safety for bent or broken piece, usually upper part will be missing lip that actually pushes on the lever. If however gun does not fire when firing pin is depressed, time for replacing orings in gun. Parts are available at www.toolpartsdirect.com . Good luck with your repair and post again if you have other questions.

Paslode nail gun 325 black not firing

Any time these guns become intermittent or stop firing but the fan still runs, the first the to check is the expiration date on the gas cartridges. The do expire and this will make the gun work inconsistently or not at all.

Nail gun double fires

There is one main part that can be the cause of the problem.

The trigger. Check to see if there is anything out of the ordinary with this. There should be some moving components attached to the trigger itself. Is any part of the trigger touching the button in the body of the gun when safety is not depressed. If the lever on the trigger is pushing on the button, even a little bit, It will allow the gun to fire again and again.

Multiple nails are ejected

its all about the pressure you apply...to solve this try pushing down then firing....i know its a pain and slows work a bit but it'll save you staples and from possibly firing THROUGH the shingle...pulling them up is enough of a pain anyway... also see if you can tighten the tip of the gun...that should make it less responsive, tighten the trigger as well...good luck

Jammed makita an923 nail gun

On most all nailguns when the trigger is activated air pressure is released from the headvalve causing the headvalve to open and fire the piston. If air leaks through the headvalve orings or through the headgasket port to headvalve, it will not fire. Try applying light grease to headvalve orings and make sure that headgasket is sealing around vent hole. If it fires then replace orings in headvalve for long term repair. Secondary problem is worn safety parts and trigger or trigger pin. If these parts are worn the trigger will not push the trigger valve pin all the way in when you bump fire the gun. With air supply disconnected, apply pressure to safety while depressing the trigger and check thet the pin is moving all the way into the trigger valve. Adjust or replace as necessary. Enjoy
