If model number is WT-42311 do the self check the set has.

When power light comes on and then goes off, on front of set press both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time and hold for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and the repeat the code several times.

Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means.

If this has helped you, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

I have the same issue with the WT42311 model. Did the Menu and input and got 2x2 blink. What is the problem so that I could decide whether get it repaired or replaced, to close to the holidays for another tv.

When following your directions it blinks two blinks a short pause and then another two blinks. Any ideas?

Panasonic DLP TV Bulbs

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

TY-LA1001 Timer reset

While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the number 0 button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.

Air Conditioner cannot be turned on when power-light is flashing

The flashing light is a delay timer, usually activated when changing from heating to cooling and visa versa. The fact that the unit can only run from certain times shows that the timer is activated. You need to cancel the timer function on the remote.
