Your camera has a lens error, this is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the kodak service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome!

I have liteon lvw 5006, i am having problem with Ejecting the Disc.

good day sir...

your problem is on the ejecting motor,.The broken rubber that connected to the mechanism or on the motor itself...You have to do is....

first,Open the cover by removing all screws that holds the cover

secondly,Try to remove the lens assembly one set including the CD tray..by unscrew the lock of that mechanism...

thirdly,Try to see the ejecting motor if the rubber is okay and remove the motor to check the resistance weather it good or bad the reading is not more than 25 ohms or or try the actual testing using a 1.5v battery if the motor spin up that's good

fourthly,But when you found the trouble like on steps 2 and 3..replace immediately on the same type and ratings...its either motor or the rubber

And finally,if you found the defects re-assemble it and test it again...

Reminders;Pay attention to the alignment of the mechanism assembly to eject the DVD smoothly..

thank you and good luck.

The DVD tray will not open no matter how many times you press the eject button via the remote or direct on the DVD player. It just refuses to open.

Wii won't eject disc

Please unplug your wii. Then plug the wii back in and push the eject button for about 10 seconds, the disc should eject at that point in time.

The disc drive will not open

This purely a mechanical malfunction
caused by a dirty gears or a weak eject
motor. The eject motor isn't strong enough to
break the magnetic seal holding the
c.d. on the spindle

If you need to get the Tray open
Press the eject button wait 1 sec
then slap the top of the console
right over the C.D. drive (HARD)
this will break the seal and the release
the tray.

The fix is to open the Drive clean it
out and re-lube the transit and gears
Plus we gap/or slightly demagnetize
the hold down magnet so a slightly
weaker motor can release with less torque.

if you have any questions feel free to ask

Have you tried to unplug the unit for 1 or 2 minutes to see if it can reset the computer chip inside of the DVD player?
I have had great sucess with this trick.

Dvd eject problem

The drawer on a dvd player is a rack and gear drive. Sounds like you may have a bad motor or a jammed drawer. If you take it a part, see if you can find the motor that drives the drawer. It should have a worm gear on it. Try to turn it to release the drawer. It maybe out of time or slipped a tooth on the gear, hope this helps

Unable to open the door of the dvd --when you press the eject button to open the slot---the door does not open---everything else works

Quick trick

First let's find out if the motor is dead or
the magnetic clamp is to strong for the motor.

Press eject then listen closely for the sounds of struggling motor
if you hear it trying SLAP the top right over the DVD drive
and that should break the magnetic seal and release the tray
you may have to try a few times Press eject and open hand slap kinda
hard the top of the DVD drive , don't worry you won't hurt it.

if that works email me and ill tell you how to fix this.

Eject motor ... I don't know

The eject motor will be a shiny metallic cylinder around 3/4" in diameter and around 2" long. It will have a white plastic pully with a black rubber belt around the pulley. Try rotating the pulley and belt to manually move the eject mechanism.

Good luck!
