I know the E1 error code is no water inlet. I have removed the hoses from the mechine, I had great water pressur. I pulled out bothe the hot and cold filter at the inlet, both were clean and without blockage.
Where can I find a schematic for this unit? I can only hope it's a relay or internal valve, I rather not open it until I find some reference to start with.
Thanks for any advice. Thanks

Re: LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer E1 error
You may have a bad valve. The multi valve is cold and the single is hot. You can go into test mode and check them out to see if how the are fuctioning. Caution must be used. DO NOT GO INTO TO TEST MODE WITH CLOTHES IN UNIT AS IT WILL NOT BALANCE OUT FIRST AND WILL BOUNCE ALL OVER, AGAIN DO NOT DO THIS.
here is how to acces the test mode
With the unit off
Press and hold 'spin speed' and 'soil level'
turn the power on
press the start button to advance
once the tub will rotate clockwise
2nd time low spin speed
3rd high spin
4th inlet valve prewash
5th inlet main wash
6th hot water
8th tumble counter clockwise
9 heater comes on for 3 seconds
10 circulation pump
12 power off
again do not attempt this with clothes in the unit.
if the valves don't activate fully than it is a bad valve and it has to be replaced.

Insufficient water entering washer. Clogged filter. Water not fully turned on. There is a filter in back of water line where hose connects to washer. You might also have a filter where hose connects to faucet.
Error AE is prompted when there is a leak detected at the base of the appliance or when the anti flood safety device gets activated.
Disconnect power by unplugging power cord or resetting circuit breaker.
While power is off remove any water present at the base of the appliance.
If there is no water, check the pressure switch, wiring and control board for faults that may result in error AE. Check also setting of the drain hose at the back (it may cause siphoning), and make sure that inlet valve is not leaking.
An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes. If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle. if this doesn't help then there are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly. Hope this helps.
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France, Friday afternoon 14:28,
'ie' on LG's stands for Inlet Error , in other words water feed.
Check that the taps are on, check that the hoses are not kinked, check that the washer has not been pushed so far back and against the hoses that they are squashed.
If all OK then probably the water inlet control valve is malfunctioning and requires replacement ;-0(
code ie + Inlet Error. Either the washer is taking too long to fill, or at least one of the inlet screens (usually the cold) is plugged. Turn off house supply valves so you can remove hoses from the back of the machine and then pull the screens out to clean them out. Replace the screens, re-connect hoses, turn valves back on and test.
This happened to mine about 2 years ago. I replaced the cold water valves/solenoids and this corrected my problem. The cold water inlet has 3 separate valves. One of the hoses that leads from it dispenses water into the softner and bleach sections "cups". I hope this helps, (I just got through replacing it "again" yesterday and one of the pumps that removes the dirty water out the drain)
The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.
LG themselves have some information on this error code..
