Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a Whirlpool LXR6232EQ0 washing machine. Today it can filled in water and washed, but when came to the Rinse cycle, no response at all. Water will not be drained and not even hearing any click or any kind of sound, just silent. Turn knob to all kinds of washing cycle, works normally, just that when ever it reach the Rinse stage on all the washing modes, it just has no response at all. What should I look for to fix the problem?

Check the lid switch, it is located on the back left of the lid and the top left of frame. try to tighten the two screws on the location of switch(sometimes the lid switch gets loose). Another way to check find switch and the lead wires to it(2) of them, remove ends from switch and connect them together and try cycle.

I load washer it starts the wash cycle it goes through wash cycle fine drains water but does not collect water for rinse cycle it just idles. So I turn knob to spin and it spins until done.

If it doesn't fill for the rinse, I would say that the cold inlet valve has failed. Check that the cold tap is turned on and check when the machine fills for the wash cycle and see if it is taking hot or cold water. You will probably find that it is filling only with hot water. A local spares store should have the valve you need.

My 5 year old Roper washing machine fills up, washes/agitates the cloths, drains them when the washer get to the rinse line to start the rinse cycle it stops, and all I hear is a humming. The machine will...

I'm not familiar with roper washing machines so I'll ask the question does it have two fill hoses. Most European machines now only have one fill. If it has two then it sound like the machine takes the initial water from the one fill and the rinse cycle water from another. The humming sounds like the valve for the other fill needs replacing. These are quite inexpensive and easy to fit. Power off.. remove lid ....switch of water...take out valve when you establish which one is affected and replace

Whirlpool auto load not filling with water to wash, but will go to rinse cycle

There are 2 inlet valves 1 for hot water and 1 for cold. Sounds like your hot water valve is either faulty or the hot water valve to it is off. The machine normally fills with hot water as it doesn't have a heating element to heat the water and fills with the cold water to rinse

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

Whirlpool Washer will not progress to the rince cycle.

that is either a problem with the timer , or with the cold water hose at the back of the machine, see the following:

I quote from : The cycle doesn't advance

The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It'sthe timer, if your washing machine fills with water and beginsagitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spincycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • Itmay be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills withwater, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinsewater. See There's no cold water.

most new washers have cold water only rinse and spray rinse ck cold water coming into machine during wash if no cold comes in suspect cold side of fill vale not opening ..could be wiring issue or a bad valve
