Same problem on my television (same model). It is a small blue relay mounted on the circuit board behind the eye used by the remote control.

The part number is SDT-S112DM mfg by OEG. Problem is everyone on the internet the I find has a minimum order of 250 pcs. or $300. Only need one. I am a qualified electrician who is also IPC solder certified and can repair this myself. Trying to find someone to sell just one component is the problem.

The SDT-SH-112DM is a SPST Form-1A relay. It was hard to find, so I went to Radio Shack and bought a similarly sized and rated relay that was a DPDT (also from OEG). broke off the NC pins, joined (soldered) the switch source lines & removed the unused NO pin so it would fit in the drill holes... works fine!

C622 is the real problem. It is a 470 uf capacitor filtering the power to the blue relay. Radio Shack sells it for $1.29 part number 272-1030. make sure you observe polarity when you replace it. In other words, the side marked minus goes on the negative side. Check the markings on the old capacitor and replace it the same way with new one. The new capacitor has a higher voltage rating which is even better.

SOURCE: Philips Magnavox 27" TV - no picture and buzzing sound

Are you using the video input? Do you get on screen display? If so you probably have the video (yellow) wire connected to one of the audio inputs.

LOUD BUZZING/HUMMING SOUND- CAN HEAR OVER AUDIO

have someone check speaker ground to the TV chassis. Your speakers are picking up reverb from the Video Signal.

Sound vibrates

Test it by moving the bass and treble up and down. If the buzzing seems disappear at lower volumes with little bass and appears from one side only, it is probably a blown speaker on that side.

If the buzzing is apparent even at very low volumes or from both sides, it is probably an audio board issue. I am not certain if your model has a separate audio board or that functionality resides on the main board.

One speaker buzz when cold

It works fine for a couple of minutes the starts to hum. If you turn up the volume it masks the noise but is till audible, also the video switching cuts out. after examining the components I have seen some heat discoloration in the power suply area and believe it to be power for the video board. disconecting the ribbon cable form the video board the hum goes away, and so does any video wich does'nt matter for me because my monitor1.gif does all the HD video1.gif switching. hope this may help with some noise problems.

Sound card broken? No normal sound and a constant buzz...

Sounds like you tried everything possible. Based on what you have stated that you tried already I would agree with your diagnosis of a bad sound card.
If this was my Laptop I would be looking for a nice set of USB speakers and Microphone or a headset.
You can either keep the speakers turned down or you may be able to disable the onboard sound through a BIOS setting.

Or even better. Here is a USB sound card with speaker and microphone jacks. Pretty Cheap too.

Is the buzzing coming from the back of the TV, staying loud even when the volume is turned all the way down, or is it coming from the speakers?

a similar problem was discussed here a while ago, ill quote from there: "This problem may occur when some TV's are connected to a volume control converter. To correct this, decrease the TV's volume until the buzz disappears. Now use the decoder/converter volume control and increase the sound to a comfortable listening level." hope it will help.
