did that and the printer trys to start the alignment if you have paper ready and press go. It the goes into flashing lights and need to reset power and then it tells you the cartridges are not for this printer, Although they are new HP Cartridges.

Original HP 22 and HP 56
On power up the printer wants to start an alignment of cartridges to do so make sure a white sheet of paper is in the tray and press go.
It sounds like it wants to do the alignment when it crashes and all the light flash. It then says to reset the power. When reseting the power the message is that both cartridges are not for this printer.
I have used non HP cartridges and get the same message.

Followed the HP directions. Since the printer was turned off I first powered it on. Have a cartridge error: Both cartridges are not intended for this printer. Removed and kleaned the contact are of each cartridge as per the HP directions. Reinserted the 2 cartridges, closed the door to the cartridge area and it was going to start an alignment process when all the lights started to flash. Error: 0xd0620230 showed in the windo along with Reset Power.
Pushed power and it went back to Cartridge error: Same error 0xd0620230 and flashing light and Reset Power.
one more time tried the power reset and the same thing happened over again

The HP 5610 printer completely died and went to recycling. A new HP 6500 Wireless printer has been installed. Thank you for you help. Please close this request.

If it's not an HP Cartridge and it's an off brand, check to be sure it's compatible with
