What does the overload relay look like a Beverage-Air MT27 Beverage Cooler Commercial

Normally thermal overloads have a button like appearance on the compressor. Designed to open circuit when temp has caused distortion to the bi-metal contacts. Upon cooling will close again. Disconnect power before checking continunity on the overload terminals.

Compressor Quit

Adjusting the charge or replacing the compressor is not a DIY project, the smell is not likely coming from the regrigerant but from overheated wires.

5,200 BTU unit. Compressor and fan both work when first turned on, then compressor quits after 5-10 minutes of operation. Won't turn on again even after 5-minute fan-on cool down. Process repeats after AC...

this could be just a simple fix of cleaning the condenser coils. If semi-clogged, it can cause higher than normal pressures and cause the compressor to cut out on it protector. Check it out.

I am getting a flashing message E5 where the temp is normally displayed on my U-Line Beverage Center. I could not find info in the manual on this code?

E5 means that the unit is 10 degrees warmer than the set point for more than 12 hours. You may need service to help you find out if its a sealed system or maybe a thermistor in the wrong location

When we plugged in our kitchenaid beverage center for the first time it is really, really noisy. It has a loud motor noise with a rattle? is this normal, will it go away when it is cooled down?

Did you lay it on it's side? If you did the oil in the compressor may have made it's way down the system. And when you plug in a fridge with no oil in the compressor it will make alot of noise and could damage the compressor. They say if you lay a fridge on it's side you should have it standing up for 24 hours before plugging in so the oil can make it's way back down to the compressor.

We need to find out if the compressor has had a burn out first. If you have an ohm meter and a few minutes we will know. Let me know, I hope not, but let me know if you want me to tell you how to test it, Sea Breeze

Compressor problem, installing the Supco 3-in-1 Relay

Hi, If the 3 posts are top center and bottom right left, the black wire goes top the top center post. The red wire will go to the bottom right and the white goes to bottom left.
If the posts are bottom center and top right left, the black goes on bottom center and the red goes top left. The white goes top right.
If you do not see a capacitor, disregaurd the wires in the 3-1
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
