Tip

Renaming The Start Button:

To rename the start button, you will need a hex editor.
My preference is UltraEdit

Copy the \windows\explore.exe file to a new name (e.g. explorer_1.exe)
With the hex editor, open that file and go to offset 412b6
You will see the word start with blanks between each letter
Edit it be any 5 characters or less
Save the file
Boot to DOS
Copy the existing c:\windows\explorer.exe to explorer.org
Copy explorer_1.exe to explorer.exe
You will also need to replace the explorer.exe in the c:\windows\system32\dllcache file as well with the new one.
Note: If the partition is NTFS and you can't access the files from DOS:

Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon.
Change the value of Shell from Explorer.exe to explorer_1.exe

Dmwu.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

All you have to do is click on the start button, go to search, then type in dmwu.exe and search all files and folders. Then simply drag any matching files to the recycle bin. *NOTE* if you had the same thing as me then you have to click away the message before it will let you delete one file.

Worm.autoit virus(mgy.exe) make folder and all of my data files add extension .exe.exe.exe(example: desktop.ini.exe.exe.exe, mydata.xls.exe.exe, after cleaning and delete this all, my data and same file...

Boot from a Linux Live-CD and recover your files - Linux ignores the extensions so if your files are still there then they will be clearly visible.

Trojans wont go away. Hijackthis SCAN help

I am of the mind to do a complete reinstall of the operating system including flash the BIOS even if it is the same version. I worked many hours tracking down and thinking you found every part of the problem on to hit an .EXE and it all starts over again....I just clean out everything and start fresh.
If you tell us what make and model of computer along with the operating system it is we can direct you to the drivers for the reinstall. Some off those programs - for example AOL seem to be virus magnets. (if it is a dell it is really simple if you just put in your service code- it give you your particular driver of your computer.)
That is what I would do...Or you can keep hunting.
please leave rating,,,thank you
