I just installed and configured my new USB DVB-T reciever. The picture presented is very poor, similar to the problem when you play a compressed videofile without the proper codec.

Does anyone have a clue what the problem can be?

    Best Regards,

    Einar

Camcoder ,PS3 or DVD player output to Laptop screen

I've had the same problem with two other unrelated HP input products in this area myself so I understand the pain. Media Center is not really well geared for nor is very friendly in the end user component input area. I'm assuming you've already tried playing a video file from your camcorder while setting up the Media Center input settings? Try a different software that will recognize your input card. Ideally, you should use any input software that came with the card itself from the manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer for a link to the original software bundle if you can't find it from their website or you may need to research your own replacement software solution for this product.

Connecting and recording camera with s video output on 1221 tx

Hi,

The cam setup you're trying in your surgery is similar to the type I often setup in Dental operatories for there intra-oral cameras.

You need an tuner, if your external has S-Video port, you can simply plug into it and use windows media center or the cards software(if it came seperate) to record from the s-video feed.

Then you can hook the S-Video output from the laptop to the TV monitor in question and run the laptop in mirrored mode to show the same image on both screens.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Problem with media direct in dell laptop

Hi,

Please note that your system does not have a Tv tuner. Tv tuner is not an inbuilt device that comes with the laptop by default. It is an external device. I have never heard of any company shipping out systems with inbuilt Tv tuner. Most of the Tv tuners use USB port. So, you can purchase a Tv tuner and use it with your system. To check the price etc, you can simply search in google.

Please do not forget to rate the solution.

Regards,
Musheer.
