There is an over-current detected from the motor. It happens when the motor is overloaded, the tub bearing is restricted, the rotor itself is stuck or the motor winding has short circuits.

Remove the rear panel to access then pull the drive belt while turning the drive pulley to remove it. Once the belt is off, turn the drive pulley and the motor pulley to check if there's any restriction found. The pulleys can be turned freely when there's no any restriction.

Check the resistance of the motor windings to verify an open or short circuit condition. Set the meter to the lowest multiplier setting for accurate reading. The test can be done on the motor harness connector connected to the control board connector C9. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the motor harness connector and you should a nominal resistance of approximately 3 ohms on each phase. Other than that, recheck resistance directly at the motor terminals to verify the continuity of the motor harness. Replace the harness if there's a huge disparity in the reading. Replace the motor is the windings turn out shorted or open.

Error code ''suds'' on maytag front loading washer

Press Chime and Extra rinse keys for three seconds or until the control beeps. You are now in service mode and your machine should say a new error code. Depending on what that code is, you might be able to reset your machine by unplugging it, and replugging it in. if your codes are now clear, try running machine on spin only or rinse cycle. DO NOT add more soap!!! If this corrects your problem, try running a load with out soap. You may have a lot of extra soap in your machine.

My washer stops before the rinse cycle because it can't seem to drain enough to start the spin cycle. I just had the drain motor replaced one month ago. I get the error code nd. I can sto the cycle and...

I'd love to say yes! The machine is stopping because it will not drain. This is what the nd code means. Therefore, it will not rinse (add more water) or spin because the water level is already too high and to try to "spin it out" would put too much pressure on the machine with that much water in it. Drain out the water by putting the drain hose below the level of the washer (this takes forever) and call your repair man back!

Washer won't drain/rinse/spin

it may be a pressure switch fault. Remove the top cover (lid) and look for a round object with a small rubber pipe coming of it and a electrical connector with 2 or 3 wires, replace this part.

My Maytag front loading washer does not fully rinse cloths MAH8700A. I purchased this washer about 6 months ago. I usually wash small loads but have noticed it doesnt matter what size load. When first...

Is the drain path free-flowing? That is, does the water eject freely during spin/rinse? Maybe there's a restriction in the line, or it's too high above the washer.

Won't power up

Don, going by the model number you posted I see they had some issues with the vibration and shaking. TDL-0117-B, the rear tub was redesigned changing the over all weight of the outer tub. This change required new software in the board. TDL-0092c-b, a new board was introduced. The new software was designed to distribute unbalanced loads more efficiently. The motion sensor communicates with the board regarding unbalanced loads versus the previous detection based on monitoring motor torque. You might be covered under these bullitens for labor, all your parts are warranteed for 2 years. You did not mention if you were getting any error codes. Try unplugging the unit for 1 minute and see if it comes to life. If not you will need to check harness's CN5 and CN6 on the board to see if they are loose. You can try to put it into a test mode by pressing Chimes and xtra rinse together for 3 seconds. Then press spin for input tests and spin speed for output tests. You do have some recourse with these service issues. back.

Washer is locked and will not open

Art, it's possible something is jammed in the pump causing your problem. See if you can put it into a service mode. Power off and on and press chime and xtra rinse together for 3 seconds. Now to do a quick service cycle press temp and soil level together. The washer should take off and do a self diag. It will run the water valves, tumble, dispenser, drain and high spin if you entered it right. If everything passes you will get a PA in the display. If not you will get the error code. You can advance through this test by pressing the spin speed button. If any error codes come up post back and we will try to get to the bottom of it. back.
