There are 2 possible problems. One is the defrost cycle is not working properly this is usually indicated by a large amount of frost on the back freezer panel. If so, the circuit will have to be repaired and the evaperator thawed to remove the ice build up. The other is the fresh food damper is not working properly this is behind the "lump" in the back of the fridge compartment above the top shelf, remove the louver panel to see if it is open or closed. closed will be warm open should be cold. The water dispenser reservoir is probably frozen due to poor air circulation.

the fridge thermostat is not a true thermostat it controls a damper door the freezer thermostat runs the compressor in order for your refrigerators to reach the proper temp the freezer should be about -8 to-10 set your freezer thermostat lower and see if it gets lower .at the mid point setting it should be about -8 not 6 you may have a problem with its thermostat or a leak in your system reply to me tomorrow and tell me if lowering the freezer thermostat help we want it about -8or-10 and the best way to check your refrigerator temp is put a glass of water in it and stick your thermometer in it and if need be you can e mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org just referance your promblem

the problem here is the defrost element is not coming on, the problem is the control board in the fresh food compartment is defective and not telling the element to defrost. Therefore your cooling coils are impacted with ice which keeps freezer cold, and sensor in freezer says everything is ok and therefore sends nothing to refrigerator. Replace the defrost control board, Thaw out the cooling coils in freezer, and your back in business

You have one of two problems going on. Your fan is spinning at hitting the sides. Or your compressor is shot which seems to be more the problem and even though it is cold the humming sound is a warning for you that the compressor is shot and it is more affordable to replace the fridge then the compressor. Sometimes compressor can cost more then the fridge.
