Problem trying to use usb cord to sync music to ilo mp3 player
Ok, here's the problem.
Recently I have tried again, as usual, to use my usb cord to put music on my mp3. Now, it doesnt work. Before that, windows was trying to install the software, but failed.
After it failed, for some reason, when i hooked it back up to the computer, it kept blinking. I thought maybe my USB cord was broke, but then, when i tried hooking it on again, it stopped blinking, and yet it still won't work.
I dont know if this problem can be solved, the display on my mp3 is fried, and it doesnt say anything anymore. It can still play music, however.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

iLO Mp3 Player "Flash Error" 1. Connect the player to the PC using the USB cable. 2. Open Windows Media Player. 3. Go to the Sync or Devices tab and delete all content from the player. 4. Go to the Tools menu and select Options. 5. Select the Devices tab, highlight the ILO or Siren player and click on Properties. 6. Uncheck the box "Create Folder Hierarchy on Device"
You cannot just move WMA songs onto the card and play in the MP3 player. MP3 format may work this way, but for sure the player only seems to be able to recongize WMA files when syncd through Windows Media with the USB cord attached. Be sure the DESELECT 'copy folder hierecy' under the sync options/properties of the MP3 player drive or SD card drive.
When using XP Pro and Windows Media Player you can transfer WMA but you have to go into the PROPERTIES of the drive (mine was mp-556/G: drive) and DESELECT the option to transfer folder hierecy. The MP3 player is not able to reconginize the folder structure it usually creates.
This player only seems to be able to transfer MP3 format with Vista, using windows media player sync. I can syne MP3s formats, but not WMAs at all. Unless someone found otherwise
YOu plug it in with the USB cord and go into windows media and then click sync. Then you click the pull-down menu that says music and find wat you want to delete and right click it. It will give u the option of delete and take it
