Question about Duo Fast Duofast Cn350 Cn350b Sh Nailer O Ring Rebuild Kit

1 Answer

Blowing air through trigger area. Need rebuild kit? Longer version...started blowing air out of small hole in left side of casing. Leaked oil out of there as well but still worked fine. This has been going on for a while. Finally( the other day) started blowing air out of the trigger area. Nailer (hammer?) would not return for next shot without removing air from gun. Reintroduce air for one shot only then have to remove air supply again. Finally quit all together - no compression(?). Obviously blew an O ring or something? Is the total rebuild kit what I want / need?

    Dan,
Thanks! I will ask if the rebuild kit has a trigger assembly included. When it finally quit I had nothing. Air was just bypassing the O rings outside of the Driver cylinder. I took the gun apart - pretty simple. The O rings seem loose and sloppy. looking forward to putting it back together with new parts. Not sure how the trigger push rod assembly comes out. Any ideas? If the trigger still works to fire the single shot, then the o-ring kit should be sufficient. If the trigger area continues to leak air, then the trigger should be replaced as well. Keep the gun well lubricated as well.

After a ride I can see oil on top of the primary case and also a small puddle under bike. 97 Heritage classic. Any idea where it might come from.

Hi, Michael there is a small black rubber vent tube on the left rear side of the chrome transmission cover that goes backwards into a loop and points forward that would blow oil if the transmission was overfilled or it could be a rocker box, head gasket or base gasket to find the source of your oil leak, start at the point where you see oil and trace its path going up and forward, blowing baby powder from the palm of your hand will help in those difficult to see areas if there is too much oil present then buy a spray can of engine degreaser apply it to the affected area then rinse off with a pressure wand or garden hose, use compressed air to blow off excess water or just let it drip dry, take your bike for a 15 minute ride and check for the leak.

Works when it wants to. Why is air blowing out around trigger area?

Take it in for repair or see if you can get an o-ring seal kit.

Nailer is shooting air out of trigger, is not releasing brad

Sounds like the head valve. Remove the head cap take out the head valve, clean, re-fit and give it a few drops of air line oil. Then give it a try. Good luck.

How to check the oil level on aprilia rsv 1000, 2001

Look on the left side fairing, there's a small hole right next to the big hole for the air blowing off the radiator fan. The small hole has a white background, that background is the oil resevoir, and the correct amount is half full. You should check it with a cold engine and the bike upright.

Unfortunately, it does in fact sound like you are in need of a new master cylinder, or at least a rebuild kit if you are feeling confident in your mechanical abilities. (It's not hard to rebuild.)

I have some air nailers and staplers that have some leaks and aren't working properly. I would like to try rebuilding them, they are bostitch, paslode, and senco. I have found the rebuild kits for trigger...

The kits for the senco guns, have all the o-rings and seals needed to stop most leaks, no hard parts. You have to replace all of them, no oil is needed, but it needs to be clean, some have little tubes of grease for the o-rings. I'm sure the other guns are the same way. Some of them will give you a fit. I had a senco sfn1, totally rebuilt, still leaked, tried it again, still leaked, called senco, they said send it to us, they fixed it for free, but never said what the problem was. Some times the triggers go and you end up building the whole gun for nothing, and the trigger still leaks, they are the toughest to spot. I have seen a lot of complaints about paslode. We tried them all in our shop, and the senco was/is the best, So we fazed out all the other guns and kept the senco, so all the nails were from 1 dealer, all the parts, we weren't looking all over town for a box of staples.

The internal oil pump has worn through the case - poor design i was told by the transmission shop. Talk to them, they see it all the time. I just replaced mine last fall except i had to rebuild the entire transfer case after it locked up. The half case is only about $300, my rebuild was about $2000 after neglecting the problem.
