Mod & ser # 752w15byx1; e232c306s tv started coming on real slow especially in the am, a little bit faster during the day. Light on front goes out when you try to power up then after a little while the tv will eventually power up.

Two things here to suggest: one is lamp life is 2000 hours or two years average--and many lamps that fail will either dim just a bit, take a bit longer than did to come up to full brightness and the set may detect that and try to blank the screen.
I am saying a lamp even if lamp light does not come on may be the problem or not.
Second, and I have seen this a lot, the fans in the set intake air in the front of the unit and exhaust it out the rear and no matter how clean the house is dust will get pulled inside.
Fans and air-path's can get coated with dust. Especially the blades on the fans, if a fan slows down just a little because of dust on its blades the set will also detect it as it monitors fan speeds etc.
A good dusting out with compressed air (try not to blow the dust into the screen area) will either confirm this or eliminate it as the problem. I almost always do it in the garage or outside as it may look like a dust storm when you do it.
These are my thoughts and I hope they may help you resolve your problem.
yes it is a flyback transfomer is a very sensitive piece of equipment also known as a lot or lopt in you case i would say that the case has cracked on your flyback you may get by however if the damage inside is not significant yet be wrapping the flyback transformer in black electricians tape but this should not be a permanent solution
Here are some numbers to call for Flyback Replacement
you will need RCA chassis# PTK195s16p - flyback number1541938b.
ThankYou for using FixYa. Have a Nice Day.
You will need a new Power/scan board unless you have some real good troubleshooting Skills. This is the ITC222 chassis it is not very easily diagnosed without the proper diagnostic equipment, It is going into protective shutdown. Replacing the entire module is your best bet
Likely to have a bad high voltage transformer: white square thing with large red wire coming out and possible horizontal output transistor maybe C5148: on metal heat sink behind transformer. Must use original transformer Average cost $300.00 according to which repairman. Be sure picture was good before it went out!
