Please go to the following page to attempt to reset your password:

http://edit.yahoo.com/forgotroot

(If your security questions may have been recently changed, please pick "My account may have been compromised", you may see a 'This is not my question' link underneath each question.)

If you are successful with that process, you can go ahead and skip the rest of the steps...

OPTION TWO:
(Important - if you have another account with Yahoo, please sign out of that account before trying to complete the form below.)
Otherwise, if it is not successful, please follow the instructions below as a 'last resort' account recovery:

Please go to this page:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/general-01.html

That recovery form was created so that people who cannot access their alternate email or answer their security question(s).

You'll need to have an alternate email account set up so that they may contact you. You can get a free account from www.Gmail.com for this.

Place your alternate email address under the "What is the email address where we can contact you?" section.

It will take 2-7 business days for someone from Yahoo to get back to you.

Thank you.

I lost my contract with face book. i believe i was using pamela.hayworth@yahoo.com and my password was maybebaby. what happened??

Good Day Pamela!

The reason behind losing access to a Facebook account is because of the email address that you use to register was no longer accessible.

Please log in first in your Yahoo mail account.

If you can not sign in,
1. Go to https://edit.yahoo.com/forgot?stage=fe100&src=ym&intl=us&done=http://mail.yahoo.com&partner=
2. Enter your email address or Yahoo! ID, inside the box, next to "My Yahoo! ID is"
3. See the code - a series of letters and numbers, enter it inside the box, next to "Enter the Code Shown"
4. Click the Next button.
5. Enter into the box the answer to the question 1, then click Next button.
6. Enter into the box the answer to the question 2, then click Next button.
7. Enter your new password and retype it for confirmation.

After this procedure, your Yahoo mail account with new password will now be accessible.

Next, try to log in with your Facebook account. Check that maybe you are not entering a user id and password in its correct spelling.

Please let me know if you need more help.
Thank you for asking Fixya.

I have the error... sorry, but there appears to be a problem loading... when I click in my mailbox.

This shouldn't happen all the time, but it will happen from time to time when the server at Yahoo is just busy fetching data for you. Closing your Yahoo email program and restarting will generally cure that problem.
If you are getting this message generally more than once per day, there is an issue with your email program communicating with the server at Yahoo and you should call or email Yahoo support if you can access your email. Since Yahoo doesn't store data locally on your Hard Drive, but on Yahoo servers, you must take up the issue with Yahoo support services.

Hope this helps.....

Trying To set up yahoo mail in my HTC phone need details

Hi,

You will need adjust the mail application's POP settings to get your Yahoo! Mail messages into it.

POP access is a service for owners of one of the following:

Yahoo! Mail Pop Access & Forwarding

Yahoo! Mail
Plus Premium Services
A Broadband account
A Small Business account

Please note that access to IMAP servers is not available.

To use an email client or application to send and receive Yahoo! Mail messages, you may need to designate a new incoming (POP) mail server and a new outgoing (SMTP) mail server. Consult your owner's manual for instructions on designating servers in the email application.

If you can't add new POP or
SMTP servers, you will need to change your current server settings.

Before you make any changes, write down your current settings. You might need to revert to your original settings later if you decide to send and receive messages from your other email addresses.

The following steps will help you find the POP settings for your Yahoo! Mail account and configure it:

Log onto your Yahoo! Mail account from a PC.

Click Options > Mail Options.
Click POP & Forwarding.
Click Set up or edit POP & Forwarding.
Click POP Settings.

Note your Server Setting information. Your phone email client or application will ask for these settings:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3)- for example, pop.mail.yahoo.com.

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)- for example, smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
Account Name/Username, your Yahoo! Member ID- for example, myuserID.
Email address, your Yahoo! Mail address- for example, myuserID@yahoo.com.
Password, your Yahoo! Mail password- for example, l0ngitudin*l

Notes:

POP server settings may change from time to time and you should confirm the current POP server settings in Yahoo! Mail if it is not working.

When using
Microsoft Outlook, replace the "@" in your address with "%".

As an alternative to configuring Yahoo! Mail POP mail configurations, go to:

http://mobile.yahoo.com/mail

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mobile/...

Enter your phone number and send a link to your phone; the best Yahoo! Mail experience will be suggested to you.
Have a nice day

Some body is accessing my yahoo mail and sending mails to all the address received in my mail box. Today i tried to access my yahoo mail i am unable to access

In case of a hacked account send a mail describing your problem to account-security-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com. If this doesn't help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572 (personal account) and 800-318-0783 (business account), explain to a customer service person what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original info with the changed info. Within 24 hrs you should get your account back!

My email address has been compromised

If your account has been hacked send a email detailing what has happened to your account to this address “account-security-help @cc.yahoo-inc.com” the gap between help and @ is intentional.
You get a reply in 1-2 days if this does not work the probability is that you have lost that account and need to open a new account with a much stronger password.
