Configuration Information:

------------------------------------------------------------
I just purchased Norton Antivirus Delux, V4.0, and tried to install
it on my machine. I receive a message upon start of install that I
have a memory resident virus - restart using the Emergency Boot Disk.
I restart and run in manual with the PROMPT switch and find the Boot
Record on my C dive is infected with the "Form" virus. I suspect
this is not a virus but is really V Communications, Inc's "System
Commander".
Question: Is there a way for me to install Norton Anti-Virus and
remain compatible with the System Commander program? Is there a way
to enable running Anti-Virus in automatic once installed?
Thanks for your help

Hi Larry,
Thanks for contacting us at Norton AntiVirus Support.
From the description of the problem you wrote up, you do have the Form
virus on your system. We will not mistake System Commander for a virus.
You should boot from the Emergency Disk and have it scan the system. When
it detects the program and wants to repair it you will need to type in YES,
and not just Y to fix it.
After it is cleaned you should be OK. If it has problems cleaning the
virus, you should contact V Communications to clean it correctly without
losing your partitions.
If you have any other questions, please write back to us here.
