Microsoft Office Standard for PC Logo

I can't open my Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 without a product code. It came already installed on the computer when I purchased it in 2005 so I have never had the code. My server merged with google to gmail & somewhere along the line it messed mine up. I can no longer open any pps files that I get in my e-mail.

A file SKU012.cab not found

To resolve this error permanently, you must repair the Office 2003 installation. This resolution is intended for advanced computer users. If you are not comfortable with advanced troubleshooting, you might want to ask someone for help or contact Support. For information about how to do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ (http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/) Repair the Office 2003 installation To repair the Office 2003 installation, use the Local Installation Source Tool. You can download the Local Installation Source Tool from the following Microsoft Office 2003 Resource Kit Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=10FA7AA3-695B-42C3-9045-B812BA0FED3E&displaylang=en (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=10FA7AA3-695B-42C3-9045-B812BA0FED3E&displaylang=en) After you have downloaded the tool, double-click the LISTool.exe program file on your hard disk to start the Setup program. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.

The Local Installation Source Tool is a wizard that helps manage your Local Installation Source (LIS) on computers that are running Microsoft Office 2003. The LIS is the group of installation files that Setup copies to a hidden folder on your computer when you install Office 2003 from a CD or from a compressed CD image on a network. The LIS Tool lets you enable or disable the LIS, and to move the MSOCache folder to a new volume.

Note If these methods do not work, the files in the \MSOCache\All Users\download code folder may not match the files on the CD that you provided. Make sure that the CD that you inserted matches the product that is being requested. For example, the product that is already installed on the computer may be Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. However, the CD may contain files for Microsoft Office Professional Enterprise Edition 2003. If this is the case, remove the Microsoft Office product, and then install the product again from the available CD.

I'm sorry, but that would be software piracy. You must purchase the product in order to receive the product key. If you have lost your product key, try contacting Microsoft Support along with some proof of purchase.

How do I reconfigure microsoft office standard edition 2003?

Try repairing your office installation. To do that you will go to your control panel and select Add Remove Programs. Find your Microsoft Office 2003 and click on it like you would remove it. There you should be able to select repair instead of remove. This will repair the installation and should fix your problem.

E-Machine-Microsoft office product code

Hi DeLaunay,

The product key that ships with E-Machines computers for Office is a trial key that is provided by Microsoft for a 60, 90, or 120 day trial. If that key was misplaced, a trial can be obtained directly from Microsoft at their Microsoft Office Trial website:

http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx

If a full version of Office was purchased along with the PC and they key was misplaced then you will have to contact Microsoft Support for a resolution. Their information can be found at the following link:

Without that key, there is not much you can do, either buy it again or ask someone for a key. Just google it!

I own the student/teacher edition of Microsoft office 2003. Unfortunately I am unsure of the product key. Is there anyway to install this software on a new computer without re-purchasing the program?

I suggest you forget about MS Office and download open office instead. It is free and there are no license keys to deal with

If you still want to install this program, I think you will have to call MS about the product key. The information is stored on the computer the software is installed on in the registry. You should also have the disk with the product code on it.

Product cd key ms office std edition 2003

If you have a bootleg copy of the software, there is nothing that can be done for you.
You must not have the program installed on other computers.
You must purchase an original Microsoft CD.
No temporary product key is required for the trial period, unless that has changed in Office 2007.
Did you purchase a new computer with office 2007 installed already?
