Maytag 5000 series washer leaking.Removed front access panel ,saw water is trickling from dispenser tray area. Pulled dispenser drawer,cleaned/inspected with nothing really standing out as a problem.

Verify that that the hoses from the dispenser tray to the tub are not clogged. Detergents and fabric softeners can build up inside the hoses and cause partial or complete clogs that will cause the dispenser trays to overflow and thus leak. This is a common problem.

Soap dispenser is still full after 4 trys. I ran the washer with the dispenser out and it seems that the water is not coming out of the jets above the soap dispenser, only the bleach dispenser?

Did you try cleaning up the water filters where the water hoses connect to the washer in the back? I had mine clogged with sediment one time and water was not coming out properly.

How do I get the bleach dispenser to drain?

Hello Denise C - There are several things that could cause the bleach to not dispense into the washer. Are you sure the liquid in the dispenser after the wash is bleach? If it is pure bleach, the solenoid that lets the water into the dispenser is not working. This solenoid is located on the back of the dispenser. It only gets voltage during the dispense time and fills the bleach dispenser with water. The bleach dispenser fills while the washer is filling for the rinse cycle.

When the washer begins to fill for the rinse cycle, the bleach solenoid is energized and water flows into the bleach dispenser cup. When the cup is full the water siphons out and bleach and water flow into the tub.

If the liquid in the bleach dispenser is pure bleach you may need a technician to diagnose and repair the problem. The voltage will have to be tested to the bleach solenoid and a volt meter is required.

If the liquid in the bleach dispenser is water you probably need to clean the dispenser cup. Scum will build up in the siphon tube and stop the liquid from going into the washer tub. The incoming water will dilute the bleach and overflow the dispenser cup and run into the tub.

Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Clean the bottom of the insert and the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Reinstall the insert and put the drawer back inside the washer.

To test the siphon action slowly pour water into the bleach compartment. When the water level goes above the maximum line stop pouring. The water should all drain out. You may also test the fabric softener compartment the same way.

I do hope this information proves to be helpful.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN MY WASHER STOP STOPS & SHOWS LF OR F1? i CAN'T READ IT!

The LF error means Long Fill.

When you start a cycle the water should come into the dispensers. If you have a good flow through the dispenser the valves will be okay.

I recommend checking the inlet water screens on the back of the washer. The inlet screens are located on the water valve. To access the screens you will turn the water off and remove the inlet hoses. The screens prevent debris from entering the valve and sometimes over time mineral deposits build up on the screens. This can block the water or slow the water fills down to a trickle. You can pull the screens out and clean them if necessary. Flush the inlets thoroughly with water when replacing the screens. If debris gets past the screens, it can cause the valves to stick open and an overflow of water can result.

While you have the fill hoses disconnected, place the ends of the hoses in a bucket and briefly turn on the faucets to check for proper water pressure and flow from both hoses.

A common reason for an L F (long fill) error on this washer is the drain hose being stuck to far down the drain standpipe.

If the drain hose is to far down the standpipe then a siphon can occur which causes the washer to fill and drain at the same time. This will cause a long fill error.

The water is entering the washer, but is not

Either the drain hose is too far into the drain or drain hose is too tight in the drain . Make sure the drain hose is NOT taped to the drain (to keep the drain pipe from overflowing ) All of these will cause a syphon problem , where water will be "pulled out" of the machine by your sewer line , as water is filling your machine for wash (usually rinse cycle).

Drain pipe overflows from washer

Something is blocking the drain and it can't keep up with the flow now. You can try cleaning the drain with an auger (available for not much money at home supply stores). You'll probably find a sock or lots of lint built up.

Hope this helps ...... F09 is a Overflow Condition If the Overflow contact on the pressure switch is Closed for more than 60 seconds an Overflow condition will occur. In an Overflow condition, the Door will remain locked, and the Drain Pump will run constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the Display is cleared. Unplug the unit to service. Potential Causes ? Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked ? Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU) ? Check/ Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects ? Check for Drain Pump Failure ? Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off ? Check the Pressure switch for proper operation PLEASE rate my solution
