My curling iron has left a burn mark on my laminated bathroom vanity. How can I fix this?

No need to worry, as long as the burn mark is not too deep, this is a quick and easy fix.

Begin by wiping down the surface using a rag and soapy water. Next you will need to make a paste using baking soda and water (three parts baking soda to one part water) and apply over the burn mark. Allow this paste to sit for 20-30 minutes. Next you will need to use an old toothbrush and scrub the area until the mark has disappeared - you may need to apply more paste. Wash away the mess.

Since your vanity surface is laminate - as long as it is white - you can use plain white toothpaste instead of the baking soda/water mixture.

Is plasma burn in real?

Well it does not catch any real fire if this is what you mean. What actually happens - PDP (Plasma Display Panel) is "burning out" throughout it's use. Especially if someone is watching TV channels with fixed logo (Like CNN for example). That steady image can get "burned in" into the screen and stay there forever. So it is important to watch different channels and programming so screen does not get any permanent "marks" and spots.
LCD and LED technology does not have this issue because of totally different method of producing image on the screen.

My GE refridgerator is not keeping my food cold. The freezer appears to still be working but the digital display in the fridge seems to come and go.

That interface part number WR55X10503 may just be the problem. It senses temperatures in freezer and fresh food compartment and relays that information to the motherboard to keep temperatures where you want them. You can unplug refrigerator and then take the control out or down far enough to examine for burn marks or heat. It takes a special tool to diagnose the power from the motherboard and to the digital controls. Even if an authorized GE Technician comes out he or she would not waste the time to check it they would quickly replace it or the motherboard until fixed. If dispenser controls are OK and nothing more than the lights fading in the display I would switch that out after I had a look at the motherboard on both sides for burn marks or signs of heat. If you would like my assistance I would be glad to help out, I will return with a service manual and parts links. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Burnt marks in my projection tv. Can it be fixed

if they are burn marks they must be present at all times when the tv is on if they are actually on all three picture tubes(CRT) it might be an expensive repair. Sometimes the burnt mark is only present on one of the three crts, a product of a on screen display left on for too long or the failure of a deflection yoke or something similar. the way you can find out if its a G/B or R crt,is when you get a commercial or a scene with a full G,B or R background you'll see the burnt mark on the screen that is damaged. picture tubes are replaceable but somewhat expensive. good luck and i hope i answer you question to your liking, if so please leave you pos feedback at this site. thanks!
