Question about Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera

Memory card fitting problem...

My camera worked well for about 4 years until now. I just took out my memory card to change it for another one. The next thing I know, it doesn't fit anymore. It usually easily slides right in the memory card slot, but now I have a hard time putting it in. I can't even close the cover well. Can you give me any advice that could help me...?

Thanks in advance.

Take a strong light and look into the slot where the memory card fits and see if there are any bent pins. If there are, I'm not sure who besides Canon service can fix it, but it sounds like this may be your problem.

I HAVE A NEW SAMSUNG NX CAMERA IT SAYS MEMORY FULL I ONY TOOK ONE PIC

Did you buy and insert a memory card?
Is the memory card unlocked?
The internal memory is very small and not fit to shoot your pictures.
If you did put in a new memory card, please goto the setup menu and format the card.

The camera says the internal memory is full. I inserted a 16gb memory card took two pictures and 1, 30 sec video. What is wrong?

There is nothing wrong. The camera is telling you the internal memory (of the camera itself) is full. The camera will not write to the memory card until the internal memory is wiped clean. To do this, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. After that, your card should work properly.

Cannot take picture screen saying internal memory is full. I only took a few pictures.

The internal memory is very small. You need to start using a memory card. However, it won't work until you format the internal memory to completely erase it while the memory card is outside the camera.

Memory card error

Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Took pictures on camera without inserting card, no cord

Yes, there is.

Insert the card into the camera. Make sure the storage location is set to internal memory.

Press the Review button, then press the Menu button. Press up/down to highlight Copy, then press OK. Press up/down to highlight an option, then press OK.

Note: this process is actually a copy, not a move. The originals will still be in internal memory. After you transfer the pics to your computer, you can then delete them normally.

To change the storage location, press the Menu button. Press up/down to highlight Image Storage, then press OK. Select Internal Memory and press OK.
