It appears the red CRT will have to be manually adjusted. I would recommend calling a qualified technician to do this for you,as it is not that simple a procedure.

Try adjusting the convergence using the remote. Page 8 of your quick setup guide that came with the TV should give you the steps. If that doesnt work, I'm afraid the only other choice is to call in a service guy.

Please post back and let us know how it goes. If you find that my answer has helped you in any way, kindly take a moment to "Accept" the solution.

Thanks and good luck!

How are you trying to adjust the convergence? What is preventing you from doing it exactly? Please let me know and I would be happy to let you know what you need to do.

I have a Phillips DPTV335 with red ghost, I was giving 2 stk 392-110 to replace the original stk 392-120 well this work or do I have to change resistor values? Thanks for your help!

the 110 may work but you should always go back with the STK392-120 and also there are 12 6>8 ohm resistors that will need to be possibly replaced at least two will blow anytime an IC fails in that chassis so replacing the two ICs alone will most likely not fix the issue without the resistors being checked and replaced if any of the 12 are blown

I HAVE A PHILIP PROJECTION MODEL 60P8341A, THE CONERGENCY IS OFF MAINLY THE RED VERTICAL BOTTOM IS BEND,WE CHANGE THE 2 IC'S AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE,CAN YOU HELP. THANK YOU

did you check and replace any of the 6.8 ohm resistors? A phillips will almost always blow at least one of the resistors when the ICs fail. If the blown resistor isnt replaced the new ICs will fail almost instantly.

You will need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-120 and that model will also open 2 or 4 of the 6.8 ohm 1 watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link with free instalation instructions with pictures as well as free tech support to help you locate the open resistors that will need replacement. Here's the link.

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-120 this is an easy repair that you can do yourself and save yourself around 400.00 for about 45 minutes work. You can order the new ICs at the following link and they provide free installation instructions with pictures and also free online support with a support tech while you do the repair. I am one of their support techs. You would also want to order at least 4 convergence resistors and they send the proper ones for your model as often a couple resistors go. Your model uses 6.8ohm 2watt 5% metal film resistors. So to recap you will need (2) STK392-120 Convergence ICs and (4) Convergence ICs . very inexspensive repair if you do it yourself. here is the link.

Sony HS30 Convergance Issue

The STK ICs are located on the D board their locations are IC801 and IC 802 they are both STK392-560 and you will only have to remove the D board. Usually only 1 or 2 resistors go bad right next to the ICs heatsink. You can get replacements at the following link and they include installation instruction plus free tech support heres the link.

43P8341/37 tv is acting up

Generally, a convergence issue...requires chassis pull &
replacement of two IC's.....large STK's on largest heatsinks in set......up-grade for STK392-110,120 = STK393-160...I use
Hitachi # CZ 01341.....Do not use generics ! Also, check for
over-heated resistors near IC's....1 to 2 ohm.....1 to 2 watt.........

Convergence problem on a Philips projection TV

They should be STK392-120 but check the numbers on yours to be positive. They are located on the extreme left of the chassis looking inside the back panel mounted on a heat sink. They will have STK Numbers stamped on them. Yes you should change both of them they cost 10.00 each at electronix.com You will need heat sink compound as well but this is better purchased at Radio Shack 2.00 per tube. Put a good coat of Heat sink compound on the back side of the new ICs. Also check over the resistors on the board next to the ICs sometimes 1 or 2 of those burn when the Cs go out. Let me know if you need anything further
