Question about Bakers Pride Y600 Pizza Deck Oven Single 36 in x 60 in Deck Heavy Duty Choose Gas Type

My pizza chef says its good to let the ovens run 24/7. We run them at 550 for 12-14 hours daily, and turn them down to 350 when the store is closed. Is this proper handling for gas ovens?

I would set it at the lowest setting (perhaps that is 350 as you do already). I would also have to weigh cost of fuel against manufacturer's recommendations and time required to get back up to temp for production. Farmerbear at FixYa.com

Hello,

This is a safety feature of the oven. When the oven cools down you should be able to unlatch and open the oven. I accidentally did this (closed the latch) when cooking a pizza, fortunately I turned to oven off and the pizza did not burn.

be you cooked something in the micro wave and pizza over at the same time - my wife did the same thing - on she had a towel on top and other things on top to not allow heat to release. hopes this helps

most of the time this is a symptom of a weak oven ignitor. if it takes more then 2 minuets to ignite its a bad ignitor

Model GBS307PDQ5: Oven preheated to 425 degrees.


F3 usually means, that the oven temp. sensor is bad and one need to replace it.
The fact, that it's not heating tells me, the fuse in the back also needs to be replaced (requires pulling out).

some oven temperature dials are adjustable by pulling knob off,turning a bit and pushing it back on in a different position.use an oven thermometer to determine the accuracy of your control knob.adjust knob or make note of difference between dial setting & thermometer reading.i.e.knob is at 350* thermometer says 300* set knob to 400* to achieve an oven temp of 350. could you E-mail me a slice of banna bread?

sounds like the control cabinet overheated and the controller starts to break down at 140' F I would replace the controller and keep the cooling fans clean

Magic chef gas range; oven takes about an hour or so to preheat.


most common issue, and it sounds like what your experiencing here, is a faulty ignitor, replace the bake ignitor ( located under teh oven floor, attached to the burner bar)

A good pre-heated pizza stone will help cook the crust better when the pizza is placed right on the stone. As for the cheese burning, check the actual temp. of the oven with a good thermometer.
