Problem for Dell E171FPb 17" TFT LCD Flat Panel Monitor

i got given a pc from a friend and it had a dell E171FP monitor with it when i turned the power on the screen stayed blank so i pushed one of the buttons and it said it was in powersave mode and i cant get it to come out

- ive tried that first but that didnt work i got told to try it on another computer and that didnt work either

Have you tried hard booting it?
What I mean is, did you unplug it and plug back in?

I have A "Dell" E152FPc, and I have found an open transistor (Q201) on the Power Supply Board. My monitor comes on nice and bright for approximately 2 seconds, then goes dark; the power LED is steady. The voltage to the PWM IC is waky.
Before you try any hardware troubleshooting go to your control panel and turn off any power management options.

- Yes I have tried Hard booting, I always recommend doing just that, it just slipped my mind this time.
