This is already a hardware issue if that is the case. You can get some info of your local epson servicer near your area through the epson website, support.epson.com and browse for your printer. If you are having problems the contact epson technical support @ 562-276-1300.

It sounds like your main board (the brains) in the printer is fried (I got the same problem with mine). That part (when purchased new) costs so much, your better off just getting a new printer, and it's not your typical user serviceable part (hard to remove, many wire/plugs going to/from it).

The problem with replacing it with a used part, is that the used circuit board will still have the consumable counters in it set to old values from the printer is was pulled from, and NEW or RE-Chipped consumables will be needed to reset those back to zero again (not just the toners, but also the photo drums, fuser, and transfer belt). So, if the used board was connected to "old" consumables (nearly depleted), you won't be getting too many prints before it's asking for either new toners, photo drums, fuser, or transfer belt. The fuser and transfer belt cost upwards of $175 or more each....

How it works is like this, according to Okidata's Tech support guys. When you put a new "consumable" (toner, photo drum, fuser, transfer belt) into the printer, that main board resets the counters AND THEN it immediately blows a fuse (not a regular fuse, but a microchip fuse) in that comsumable so it can never reset the counter for that consumable again. When that consumable's counter reaches it's predetermined number of prints, the printer refuses to print until it is replaced (or it is "re-chipped" with a new fuse).

They make toner refill cartridge chips, and I think even a photo drum kit (seen it on Ebay). But I haven't found anything that would rest the fuser or tranfer belt. Let me know if you find something to reset the fuser or transfer belt.

Problem with printer main board. Usually, it's caused by short circuit at head. If you have experience in electrical circuit and soldering, check mounted fuse at main board. Check for f1 and f2 fuse. If the fuse is off, replace it. But you must check the head first. Find the reference in aicaxz solution for this condition. There are same condition as your printer, that resolved with this technique. But, if you don't have experience better take to epson service center.
Head cleaning is mechanical process, printing is electrical process.

Help me immediately, please

Actually, the "kit" is a DIMM that plugs into the controller on the right side of the copier (when looking at it from the back of copier) On this model, you need to add 64mb of RAM if you want to add functionality to print and scan, along with the DIMM. Yes, there are 2 different DIMM's for this,....one is Print and one is Print/Scan.
PS: there is a kit to install said items that includes buttons for the controll panel and DIMM, however, the memory is separate (laptop memory or SO DIMM)

Epson Stylus Photo R300 Inkjet Printer When I try to print on a cd/dvd I line up the arrows hit print but it keeps telling me to close the cd/dvd tray, there is no way it will print with this tray.

The cd/dvd tray door has a small opening on right edge. Inside there is a slide switch. Use a toothpick to see if it is stuck. Check where it closes to the main body. A thin strip protrudes out to mate and close the plastic actuator of the switch. The door may not be closing well enough the actuate the switch. Make sure it is fully closed and retry to print. Also, there will be a small click as you raist the door before it snaps into place. If not, check to see if there may be some debris causing it to not actuate properly.
Good luck,

The Phaser just keeps shutting down...

That really sounds like corrupted software. There are some procedures you can try, but they will require setting up the network on the printer , so print a configuration page before you do this.
First though. shut the printer down, on the back of the machine is 2 D shaped knobs. Line them up to the edge of the printer then remove the main board. Reseat your memory cards and reseat that main board assebembly. Be sure everything is seated.
Then do memory resets
PS NVRAM AND JUST A NVRAM reset.
Under troubleshooting
Enter service diagnostics then l and reset PS NVRAM as follows: 1. From the diagnostics Main Menu use the UP and Down arrow keys to highlight Print Engine Menu and press OK. 2. In the Print Engine Menu, use the UP and Down arrow keys to highlight Function Menu and press OK. 3. In the Function Menu, use the UP and Down arrow keys to highlight Clear PS NVRAM and press OK This will set the values in PS NVRAM back to factory defaults. 4. Power the machine off for 30 seconds then power on.
