Question about Kenmore 700 6972 Dryer
Hi, the switch is probably faulty if you have it set not to buzz and it still does. There is a switch behind the knob that controls whether the buzzer is on or off, and the contacts in the switch can get warped over time.
You can either try to repair the switch yourself, or replace it. To repair it, you would remove the upper rear access panel (after unplugging the dryer, of course) and then open the switch assembly and adjust the copper contacts until they make proper contact with the terminals.
