Question about Sanyo Split System Air Conditioner

Hello - ive got a sanyo split a/c system which i bought 20 years ago and a problem has developed in the remote control. The remote is very particular and has two temperature readings - the set temp and the room temp. Once the room temp reaches the set temp the remote sends a signal to the indoor unit to stop the compressor. one degree difference will activate the compressor again. The problem is that the remote control temp is stuck on 35 degrees Centigrade and so the compressor stays on all the time. the remote control is a sanyo RCS-GHS. Definitely theres something wrong in the temp sensor or the circuitry. Any help would be appreciated. thks alex

If anything, it appears undercharged. Purging is not recommended. @90 degrees the high side corresponding pressure is 168.4 and Low side coresponding numbers re70psi/68degrees. With all due respect to the tech I think . If your room temp is 80, the corresponding high aide pressure is 143.6 , Low side 85 psi Yup, undercharged. Now do me a favor and don't start any "but he said" wars going. If anything, Just call him back and tell him something is still not right. Ask him to bring you a pocket rergerence for temp/pressure relationships. The numbers I gave you are for R-22 which is commonly used in residential applications. Well, good luck and keep your cool. IDon't purge. R-22 is very expensive asis everything else. You may want to dispute anny additional service call charges. Good Luck

SOURCE: Hello We just installed a Sanyo KHS1271 mini-split

The condensate drain line was not properly installed. Make them pull the wall unit and correct the problem.
Be persistant until you are satisfied they have the problem corrected. Do not pay any additional money. If they do not correct the problem then report them online to the state board of heating and air. Fill out their requested complaint form and follow thru with a second complaint if you do not get total satisfaction from the contractor that installed the unit.

Error c5


C05 error indicates no communication between indoor and outdoor units and remote control. Replace the remote batteries with fresh duracells first. If that doesn't fix the problem, verify the indoor and outdoor unit are wired together properly. If still no love, a tech will need to come visit. CALL SANYO TO SCHEDULE A TECH IF NEEDED. Mini-split units are new to the industry, and not all HVAC techs are good at fixing them.

Cannot turn unit on with remote


Hello,

the problem lies between the remote sensor of the unit or the remote control itself.

You need to test the remote with another unit or test another remote with the unit to actually confirm where the fault is coming from.

I have a urc-3021b00 and need to program it to a sanyo tv what is the code?

According to the manual (PDF format) located at
http://www.hifi-remote.com/manuals/manual.shtml?URC-3021 (specifically Pg.20), the code for a Sanyo TV is 0154.

Try it and see. If it's not the right one, Pg.9 of the manual describes the procedure to find and check the codes for your particular device(s) using your remote.

it is happening due to blower motor not giving the signal to pcb pls check their is a return signal wire in blower motor is broken or motor is defective.

How do i set unit for moisture removal


there would be a button nameng mode on your remote control press it untill it shows dry mode now it will remove moiture from the room as long as it works in dry mode.
