There should be a pin set on the outer knob as well. if not the inner knob after it has been removed should thread off, you may need to turn opposite thread.

SOURCE: I have an emtek exterior door lock, that is stuck

If the opening is on the side, it probably comes off by pushing a small tool (pick or large paper clip) into the hole while turning the key. When you feel the pin move, pull on the knob and it should come off.

SOURCE: I have an emtek key in knob lock and wont disasemble

The locks are tricky, they have special tools to make it easier, I'm not saying you can't do it, but if you can't get the knob apart, I don't know if you can get the pins in the tumbler right. Usually a pin hole in the side of the knob will release the keyset, then the ring in the back will release the tumbler, the cap on the top will release the pins, and I mean release, hang on to them, cause they fly! Put the tumbler back in without the pins, put the new key in, make sure it is right, drop the pins in one at a time, first the bottoms, they should all be the same size, then the tops will be according to the cut in the key. Or is it the other way around, drop in the springs, put the cover on, if it works the first time, you will be very lucky. Hope this helps.

There is the 3rd version of the Kwikset exterior door set. The interior face plate is removed and on each side of the base plate has small slots with a lever on either side that need to be moved to the other end of the slot. The whole interior knob assembly with come off.

Schlage deadbolt will not unlock even with the use of a key?

it sounds as though the linkage that pulls the deadbolt back has disengaged... if you undo the screws from the inside of the door and remove the manual knob there will be 2 more screws holding the key lock to the door. A thin flat bar is attached to the key lock that goes through the deadbolt and into the manual knob. This bar turns with the key, sliding the bolt on its track to lock and unlock the door. Once the lock is apart check the key in the lock to see if the bar turns when the key does. then see if there is anything that may be obstructing the deadbolt from sliding. The locks are pretty indestructible so if there is a problem it may have been from the install... perhaps the door is to wide for the lock to engage properly and the lock worked loose in the 6 months that it worked.

The door knob (lever door knob to exterior fancy door) came off.

When you first tightened the screws, the mechanism may have been loose enough to allow the actuator bar the connects the inside knob to the outside lever to work loose. When you tightened it you may have jambed that tight so things didn't work. When you disassembled everything, you may have lost that part. The springs are usually integrated into the catch part and are not removeable. Sometimes it helps to take everything completely off the door including the catch that goes in the edge of the door. Then reassemble it on a table to see what works and what doesn't. If that doesn't help, take all the pieces into Lowes at the key desk and they will be glad to help you.
